From 150-250

So this come january I will be working out for a year. My max before in bench was like 150. Now by january it will be 250 if not more. Is that good for a year? Oh I dunno if this matters too but I weighed 145 or so when I started. I'm at 160 now. About 5'9" in height.

it's only good progress if you make sure your working your legs, back, shoulders, and arms as hard as your chest. you've got to work the body as a whole. keep up the good work though.

Haha no way in hell I'm doing that good again. And its not so much that I'm trying to get big. I just want to be able to lift a respectable amount of weight. Then go for toning.

You'd be surprised what you can do.

Big muscles make being ripped easier.

The only way you are going to lift a respectable amount of weight is with a respectable amount of muscle mass.

You can't get something for nothing. Laws of physics bro.

Eat lots of food.

you made a good stregnth gain. your lack of size will start to hold you back if it hasnt already. if you find that your progress slows a lot or stops and you are not where you want to be yet you will need to put on more size through eating more along with training and recovery.

could you give me an example of a routine you were using, my bench is not going up as fast as i would like it to.

+2 but have you seen those little Chinese guys that powerlift. They look 140 soaking wet throwing crazy weight around. But still you need to eat but that is a great amount of progress in a year. You're not just benching and doing curls are you?
