Friends With Benefits - Why Can't We Have The Cake And Eat It Too?

I'm a guy so other than sex and don't get benefits. If you're referring to shit like red sports cars that is. And im not dating old wrinkled bitches with $ anytime soon.

I just feel in my experience when you look for a fuck buddy that you have a connection with it's inevitable to turn into more...but if you're looking for a fuck buddy, that must not be what you want. So either pick a fuck buddy you don't like lol; or go for an open, VERY casual relationship, that way you can have your cake and eat it too. Both have worked wonders in my experience. :)

I'd say hold out for what you want and don't compromise. And here's hoping the right guy doesn't come along while you're involved with the friends with benefits cause, if he's worth it, he probably won't even look your way.

Not being involved in anything sure does suck and gets boring, but I'm now of the opinion that the odds of finding something you really want are a lot greater if you do that. Good luck dude.

GD got it right. It's bad to say I realize, but girls I've dated that I slept with too quick, and while I didn't really get it at the time, in the back of my mind as soon as that happened, I was very much emotionally detached. I haven't been in this situation enough unfortunately, but I only go after girls I'm attracted to obviously so when one of them makes me work, I get really excited. Why? She ends up making me feel secure and I trust her - and then in turn want to make her feel the same way. In the past, other girls I usually just would rather sleep with than worry about. Is that a double standard? In my defense, it's fucking hard saying no as a guy sometimes. It kind of sucks I guess that it falls on the girl but, hey, it does. Guys have other responsibilities.

This can only last 3 months at the most. After that, someone in the fake relationship will get attached and screw everything up.
 
Look - friends with benefits is just a fuck buddy..

If you like him, and and get along with him, you are no longer just friends.

In other words, the only real plutonic relationships are between people who are not sexually attracted to one another.
