Forearm splints........WTF???????

Yesteday I grabbed a dumb bell weird and my forearm twisted kinda funny and splints kinda like shin splints started coming. Today doing back it is even worse. Am I fucked?
 
Half way betwenn elbow and wrist right? If yopur doing any close grip bench for triceps widen the grip. I was doing very heavy close grip bench for them and that was the cause of mine.

Yep. It seems like its right in the middle part of the muscle. Howdo I get rid off. All it does is piss me off. Should I poke i with a cc of somethin?
 
Man, I wish I had forearm splints. I bashed the forearm with the metal plates and screws in it into a doorway two days ago and it hurts like a bitch to powerclean or DL. I'm a crying bitch for about 6 weeks now. Just back off for a bit, mine fucking throbs.
 
you wait it out. I get it after I come back from long layoffs. Both the first time I started lifting, and after I got back into it. It took several months for me to even dream of doing straight bar culrs.
 
I was only out for 4 freakin days!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! This cant happen to me again. It seems as if everytime I try to juice I get hurt. At least this time I made out a little longer than last time. Maybe next cycle i wont get hurt at all!!!
 
heavy preachers did it to me. you may have to train around it for awhile as for most people its only certain movements not everything
 
I had the same exact thing happen to me about 4 months ago and yes it is tendonitis and hurts like a mother fucker! The best thing you can do is ice it right after workouts and to take a few days off. Also hit the ibuprofen and getting some Glucosamine is a must! 1500mg/day and you'll be good as new in no time.

I've had these on and off for 2 years. Try some glucosamine and condroitin (sp?). It's the ingredients of Joint Fuel, but you can find them much cheaper (I found some for cheap at Dollar General). Take 1.5x the recommended dosage until you feel better, then back down to the RD. Make sure to drink plenty of water.

yup mild form of tendonitis... nothing you can do about it bro... the best thing u can do now is to let it heal.... and that means lay off the work outs for a good 2-3 weeks... it's a fucked up deal i know but my shit lasted me a good 3 weeks and even then it hurt... the only cure is rest... don't try to work out with it cause in the end ... the pain will win and your only gonna make it worse... trust me on this.. i looked up everything there was to know about it and the only conclusion was rest..
 
I have the same thing every time I try to do barbell curls. My forearms have splints that ache so much I can't hardly release the grip on the bar when I finish a set............So, I just quit doing strait barbell curls and went to the EZcurl bar. The angle of having my hands turned in some relieved alot of the pressure of my forearms. Also, I went to hammer curls on the dumbells for awhile, to alieve my forearms being twisted out. Within a couple of weeks, it went away, and I stay away from the barbell curls and I have no problem.
 
I have had that ever since i can remember, and it sucks. Anytime I do straight bar curls it kills me. It gets so bad that its hard for me to let go of the bar.

Use ibuprofen. Take 3 times a day for 2 weeks. Keep it in your system for at least 2 weeks and then you should be able to back off.

This happens to me when I am on anadrol. That is how I know for sure it is real.
 
When I'm hittin heavy curls I get'em too but only while "on". Its the pumps! Try go lighter or takin a muscle relaxer or advil (ibuprophen (sp)) or both.

Hope you figure out what works for you.

Thanks for the info. There is no way in hell, well unless my arm breaks or somethin, that I am going to Stop again. As for the chondroitin I know that shit doest work. I guess Iwill try the iboprofen as long as it doesnt have any asprin in it. I will keep yall updated if I find anything that works.
 
Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory. When you take it, it should be built up in your system over a period of time.

Take 800mgs of IB 3 times a day.
At wake up, 8 hours later, and then again before bed.
Do not take it on an empty stomach.
It takes about two weeks for it to get built up in your system. Continue taking it until for another 2-3 weeks and then stop.
You also want to do ice therapy.
Ice the area that is inflamed. At first it will feel very cold, then it will feel like it's burning, then you won't feel anything as the area is now numb. Once it is numb, stop. Therapy is over.
