For those that own "Glocks"...

Does anybody have one of the sub compact ones or even a "Baby" Glock??

I want to buy another Glock for concealment as I currently carry a .38 Special "airweight" J frame.

I like the small size of it but I'm not crazy about only having 5 shots.

I'd like to get a "Baby" Glock but The grip looks too small...anybody have experience with them???

Why do you need to carry a gun? Where are you from that it's so dangerous?

I own/sometimes carry a Glock23, compact .40 caliber that holds 13+1 so thats a good amount of firepower in a compact size.

Glocks are good, reliable guns, but I just don't care for the look of the Glock compared to other brands. HK is nice if you can afford it. I like Springfield Armory too, but I wont buy one because of all the safety features on it, 3 safety's on a gun is a little overbored. I myself like Taurus handguns, they're reliable, cheap, and accurate. I just purchased a Taurus PT1 45 cal millenium edition and the thing fucking rocks. Accurate, compact, and alot of knockdown

I have a Glock 26 ... and it holds 11 shots. nice gun

I have a 23 that I sometimes carry as my sidearm (on my leg) during some of the tactical missions, depending on the mission and whether I need noise supression (which requires the Sig or HK handgun).

I thought Glock only sells to law enforcement and military only now?

I advise against plastic guns, especially Taurus. That PT-145 of yours will soon crack between the topmost part of the grip right below where the base of the hammer would be.

Plastic guns.
pffft

I own some rent houses and have to sometimes go pick up my money and they're not in the best neighborhoods.

Does it have a good feel to it???

I mean can you get a good grip on it or are you kinda holding it with only 3 fingers??

Do you have a concealed carry permit? If you do stick to the airweight. If you do not get a Glock 23. Not easily concealed but very effective.

Yes..I'm licensed to carry....I just am really uneasy about only having 5 shots and lets face it a .38 special snubby with a small handle is not going to be the most accurate gun..no matter how good a shot you are.

They "Baby glocks" look appealing but the grip looks kinda small.

if you want to go extremely concealable maybe you should look into a seecamp. but i just really hate glocks. if u wont go with a h&k atleast look into sig sauer compacts. the p220 compact is amazing

I have a G29 (10mm sub-compact) and a 33 (357 sig sub). G29 is my winter CCW gun. You cant go wrong with a Glock, trust me (i'm still a H&K fan).

instead of buying a new gun, why don't you spend that money and enroll yourself in a decent shoot school (gunsite, valhalla, spartan group, etc).

i've been to several shoot schools, and i've learned more in 30 minutes of instruction from spartan group than i did over the past several years of shooting/plinking on my own.

within a few hours, I was hitting steel consistently and quickly.

the best practice is actually dry firing compared to just 'plinking'.

I've gotten quite good with a 2 1/4" barrel SP101 in .357. It's not as concealable as an air-weight but it's easier to conceal than a 220 in my opinion. A lot depends on you. Your size, how you dress, ect.
If I'm armed I want part of my advantage to be surprise, so going from concealed to shootable stance in short order is way up my list.

or better yet, play plenty of FPS video games.

Believe it or not it does make you better at aiming a real gun.

I have a 26 and love it with the clip extender it's perfect for my hand! I like my 19's the best as far as shooting.

I played with Glock 22 .40 a while back. Even for my small stature it would be a decent pick for concealed carry. How do you plan on concealing it? Back holster?

I'm still shopping around myself, but I've fallen in love with the Springfield XD 4" .40.... well it's just a crush right now since I have yet to find someone who owns one so I can play with it. Once I get to fire it I know I'll be in love. :)

Take up boxing. Guns are nasty toys. I dnt carry my glock because if I take it out, I'm going to use it. It's not meant for decoration.

So if I were to raise my skirt and flash you my Derringer, that wouldn't get you hot? :qt:

You're too late I gave the XD-40 back to Alisha.

Try an xd-45 compact or sub compact. The recoil is heavier but not much different than the .40.

The .40 is a lot crisper recoil and some people don't like it compared to the .45

I used to (sometimes still do) carry a Glock 30 concealed to back up my holstered Glock 21.
Last month I bought a Kahr PM9, which I greatly prefer to carry as a concealed back up. It only weighs 16.8 ounces, which makes a huge difference on a 10 hour shift.

Karr or Kaar has a very nice subcompact in the 9mm or .45 i think, there is also the Walther, offshoot of S&W looks pretty nice
