i started lifting for the first time in my life in october, i was 5-8 163lbs at the time. when i started i couldn't even bench 135 once. since then, i've been lifting 4 days a week, eating pretty healthy, and have seen awesome gains. you do not need supplements nor steroids to reach your goals. i know everyone is looking for the 'routine' which will help them, but a simple one will do. in 4 months, my bench has gone up 60lbs, from 125 when i was weighing 163lbs, and today i can do 190lbs weighing in at 152. probably my biggest gains have been in back and biceps. i start curling the 50lb bar, and now i can do the 80. i began deadlifting 3 weeks ago, and i can do over 330lbs 4 times. i also have a nice 6 pack and vasulairty. stick with a routine, work hard, and you will reach your goals. i'm also a student, and working out increased my concentration and dedication. being a computer engineering student at one of the best colleges, i found lifting increased my ability to concentrate. so good luck to all!!

Thats great that you have made such great strides DTM! unfortunately those gains may slow down quite a bit in the near future. I had awesome gains too when i first started, but after about a year it became hard to gain... i had plateaued. It took me months of trying different workouts bofore i finally started to get results again. Keep at it and lift hard bro, enjoy those gains while they last, and change up those workouts so you dont travel the same rocky road i went down. One day those supplements may start to look a bit more appealing to you.

I agree you don't need steroids when first starting out but like said above eventually you will plateua and that's when you start thinking of other methods to make gains

i totally agree. when i started out, i too grew like a weed and dropped fat like a crackhead, but i hit that same wall which seemed to slow everything down. i'm not saying your wrong and i respect your decision to be natural, just be sure your diet is on track and don't get stuck in a rut cause it's mentaly and physicaly hard to climb out
