exactly and whats kind of funny is what in the hell are those people gonna do with a stolen tv. its not like your gonna sell it or stash it somewhere till the town and your house gets cleaned up. you certainly cant take it with you on the bus ride to the shelter center.

All I know is that here in Gulfport, that shit was never even a problem. The first night there were some looters at the mall and some at one of the casinos, stealing booze. But after that the local P.D., including SWAT and the National Guard were walking around with assaut rifles. I went to the outlet mall where i work to see about my check and they were there. My buddy's 2 brothers work for the P.D. and they were told by the Capt. that if you see people looting and they don't stop or if anyone resists or gives you problems, beat the fuck out of them and leave them there. Exact words. Yeah N.O. is a much bigger place and more criminals but i know people here weren't going to stand for that shit. It's outrageous and those bastards need to be left there to rot along w/ the rapists.
One more quick story:
there was a guy at a gas station here, trying to hold this woman up w/ a gun and attempting to steal her gas. A helicopter swooped down and shot the motherfucker right in the head. Needless to say, there haven't been anymore problems like that either.

it wasn't on the news that i know of. Came from my friend's brother, the one on SWAT. I couldn't believe that shit when i heard it.
