Flaxseed oil

If Flax decreases Test production, that will have no effect if your on a Test cycle..... In fact, if youre using Test in a cycle, Flax will help decrease aromatization, and give all the other benefits..... I would need more evidence to really believe it decreases Test production.....

I have been using whole ground flax seed in my shakes for the past week +. I have been having 2-3 shakes per day and using 4 tablespoons of the ground seed per shake! (along with whey, powdered nonfat milk, banana etc etc) I like the taste and though I am bulking with high carb etc., I am not putting on fat like usual. In fact, after eating a ton of junk food all this week, a buddy told me today that I had a lot of "cuts." This suprised me, but he's pretty much correct. I'm staying pretty lean. Probably a combo of the flax (read as increased fiber?) and letro (keeping the estrogen and therefore fat gain down).

I'm going back to low calorie for the next two weeks but will keep the flax seeds.

Dr. William Dahut, a researcher of prostate cancer at the National Cancer Institute, said the study supports earlier findings showing that hormonal treatments, which shut down testosterone production, are successful in killing cancer cells. In the Duke study, the flaxseed impeded the action of testosterone, which may spur the growth of tumors.

Dahut said a larger sample group exposed to a flaxseed diet for a longer period of time was needed to gauge if cancer growth continued to slow and if side effects occurred from decreased levels of testosterone. Such problems could include hot flashes, decreased sexual drive or breast enlargement.

How much flax oil were they taking? Is 1-2 tbsp a day really enough to cause problems?

I'd love to read more studies and evidence but IMHO I really doubt that a natural nutrient will decrease testosterone levels to abnormal numbers...that doesn't make sense, unless we are eating natural poison; MAYBE could help leveling test levels when a higher than normal level is detected in the body. I'd be more afraid of a whopper lowering my test levels since 99% of our nutrition is processed and intoxicated shit and our lifestyle is 180 degrees opposite from mother nature.

The funniest thing about this post is that getting off flax seed oil a GNC product is the only option, not getting off the test. Lol. Great posts LMAO. I love it.

exactly. The abnormal thing here is high levels of testosterone, not the flax trying to do his job. I'm sure Flax will not harm natural levels of testosterone; in the case of people with prostate problems, that's a genetic degeneration caused by bad nutrtion and lifestyle habits generation after generation, and the flax is just doing some kind of miracle on a disfunctional body.

P.S. I've never heard of a horse with erection problems caused by an enlarged prostate...LOL
