fitness site question

I was thinking of starting a website that involves diet-nutrition and training information and videos.

What kind of features do you think you could see yourself paying for? Like say 3 or 4 dollars a month potentially.

Example would be - All members get access to beginners workouts and diet information, but advanced training and dieting would be for paying members???

Can you guys-girls think of any features that you would like to see that you could see potentially paying for?

thanks in advance!

people get that here for free.

you need to figure out how to drive traffic to your site, then go out and get paying advertisers.

good luck.

Horrible idea bro. You need to sell something (a website like this counts) that people cannot get elsewhere. Problem is like CEO said is that this is a totally unoriginal idea. If you were going to come out with this website you would have to be the best at it. You would not just need incredible know how, you would need a great team, and also a lot of money for video production etc..
So... back to the drawing board. Ideas are great. Don't let things get you down. I usually think through an idea and find a hole in it by the end of the day.

Purchase a Platinum membership here at Elite Fitness and have a virtually never-ending comprehensive resource that includes all aspects of training and diet!

Very ironic you posting that on this site lol

No one will pay you when they can come here free

i see what your saying however elitefitness is a bit different as it based alot around its discussion forum and articles.

I was thinking of primarily videos and diet plans, calculators etc.

Not nocking elitefitness cause i think this is an awesome site however the site I was thinking about would be a bit different...thus I wanted to hear what kind of suggestions you folks might have.

I build websites for a living and happen to be someone who has been in the bodybuilding arena for a long time ..thus my interest in both.

thanks

Still though, what you just described I can find at a plethora of sites for free. I just don't think the idea would generate enough revenue to be worth it. If you want to do it for the love of the topic, and eventually you get revenue through ad clicks, then look at that as a bonus towards paying for your bandwidth, but otherwise, you would have to have a truly unique idea or have a huge name draw to attract customers. The field is just too saturated now.

Yeah, this is unoriginal and there's no "hook". Two things that are necessary. I would give more advice, but only so much I can do for free. I'll give you a hint: look at future technology and how it pertains to your area.
