FitDay.

Many of you have probably heard of the FitDay site (FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal) already. I myself had heard about it before but started using it only within the last week to keep a diet log more regularly. I'm impressed enough to recommend it to everyone else. It's great if you're interested in keeping a regular log of your diet. It's free and easy to use.

Most popular foods, along with their various styles of preparation (cooked, baked, fried, raw, etc.) are already in the site's database along with major nutrition information (amounts of protein, carbs, calories, fats, cholesterol, various vitamins and minerals, etc.) and, for those foods not already there (many non-Western foods, for example), you have the ability to create your own custom foods and assign nutritional values. You can access your custom foods using a list kept via a link. Your total nutritional values on a given day vary depending on the serving size and units you enter for each food.

If you eat many of the same foods frequently, it's easy to access them using the logs of previous dates and a list of recent foods. The whole system is very flexible.

The only downside are the ads that frequently appear, but that's a small nuisance, no more bothersome than most other websites.

All in all, a valuable site.

i use it for contest prep to track calories & macros. problem is you have to enter everything because most contest food (eggology, whey, glutamine) are not listed. its a little time-consuming to set up, but def worth it if your competing.
