OK these are my first pics I've ever posted.

I'm 19, never been on AS of course at my age. Only supplements I've taken are creatine and glutamine and protein shakes. It took me a while to figure out diet is most of lifting.

I have been bulking for quite some time because I'm in college and have made great gains. It's hard to cut here.

Oh and traps don't grow ever. Tried everything. My legs are in one blurry pic. Sorry.


What BF do you think I am at?

Ok so first off let me say my legs are growin fastly. The first set of pics I couldn't get good leg shots or the second either. My legs in the second set, earlier on were small. Then I started doing squats. Now they have gained tremendously.

Have at it.
 
You've got a nice back and your legs are swole. Delts need some work as does your upper chest.
BF% I'd say is 19%. Do you do any cardio? You have a nice base bro. Keep it up!
When I was in school, I found it hard to cut...because it was a Culinary school and I lived on campus. I bulked almost the entire time I was there.

You've got a great base to work from for whatever you want to do. If your pursuit is bodybuilding try cleaning up your diet a bit even while bulking. I'd say 19% isn't a bad estimate on bf. Make sure you work your shoulders, upper chest, and lower back. Keep up the good work man.

Thanks! I have recently started doing Incline first. Had great results so far. That lift is going up as well. I was thinking about 20% also. My shoulders have gone up 15 pounds in lifts since starting 5x5. Went from 75 to 90 lbs. dumbells.

Yeah that's what I am doing. I don't eat any food at the dining halls. I go to the grocery twice a week. I don't do cardio. After lifting for a few hours I don't feel like it. I'm not cutting either so I don't have the motivation.


Scotsman, my diet is really clean. Even while bulking like you said. I could and probably should cut carbs down as I get plenty. It's hard to get good protein sources in college so most of my cals come from carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, Ezekiel bread, oatmeal and all bran.

I used to demolish the eggs at breakfast in the dorms, I'd eat like 12 HB eggs for breakfast. You can eat in the dininghalls you just need to really watch what you eat.

Yeah I would the only problem is I'm allergic to wheat and they use modified food starch which has wheat. I do get pure liquid egg whites and drink them. After they have been pasteurized.

Oh, believe me, I do use protein supplements. I get 5lbs of Whey a month. I get 5lbs. of Casein a month also. I appreciate the kind words.
 
You got a great frame to be huge if you put your mind to it! Train eveything equal and i bet in a few months your next picture will impress us all event more! Gl

See I don't really max. But my Bench is very weak. For 5x5 I do as my first exercises:

Inc Bench 5x5 with 225
Weighted Chins 5x5 with 35
Squat 5x5 with 320
CG Bench 5x5 with 230
DB Shoulder Press 5x5 with 90.



Ozz, I have been giving it my all for quite some time. I appreciate the input and will continue to give it my all as long as I can.
 
Here is my shoulder routine I'm about to do in 20 minutes:

DB Press 5x5 with 90
Military Press 5x12 135
Lateral Drop sets 4x12 with 25 and 15
Upright Row 3x12 with 75
Front Raise 3x12 with 45
Rev Flye 5x12 with 15

That routine is a lot of volume for most people but it has become a joke for me.
 
Oh, BTW since I've started lifting in 11th grade, I've gained over 80lbs. I was 135. Now 220. So I am very skinny usually hard to believe.
 
solid base bro. Legs have some nice size. I think yer bf% is north of 20% though.

Are you looking to get leaner? If so what is your diet like? are you doing cardio?

BTW I love the 5x5 routine!!!

I'm not looking to get leaner because quite honestly I can't with just a microwave and a mini-Fridge. I don't do cardio. Hate it. I know I can lose weight without doing cardio too.

Actually for two days I missed one meal and had 4 meals instead of 5. The next day I was 4 pounds less. I gain hard and lose easy. Diet is about as clean as it can get for where I am. Tuna and cottage cheese are my only real protein sources throughout the day.

lol, you and I are almost identical. Physique wise, no, but everything else, the basis of our training and diet is very much alike.

I smell a competition in the near future.

How are we different physique-wise? How old are you?

I'm about to go to Subway which I consider my 'cheat meal' for the week. That's pretty clean if you ask me.

Yes if I stopped eating every hour I might lose some weight. I know I can do it. I just like to be able to kill my lifts.
 
23-25% is what i believe

if ur looking to cut weight without cardio try replacing your cottage cheese with more healthy protein such as eggs or more fish. same thing if you eat a lot yogert or drink a lot of milk. after consuming amounts of diary products, the body doesn´t always break down and digest them completely so they are stored as fat.

you also look like you have a good base going on, congrats on the weight gain since 11th grade. keep up the good work.

i also think if you did some cardio before working out 10-15 mins on the treadmill your physique would look more impressive after a couple of months.
 
I think you looked WAY better at 195, even a little bit heavy then. You are much too heavy at 225. If you are going for powerlifting, then bulk it up, if you are bodybuilding, then you need to cut quite a bit of fat. You looked muscular at 195, you look too chunky now. I am not being rude, but I think you are going the wrong way. Cut that down and you will be a tank for sure.
 
hey, how's the progress?

I'm 5'9 225 as well, so we have some similar bodytypes, I think I'm probably stockier than you, judging from the lifts you posted.

keep workin' hard on the big heavy stuff!
 
i'd venture to guess the BF is north of 25%... I was just measured at 18.9, albeit not with calipers, but i'm much leaner than that...

i'd be interested where you're at now as well...
