first leg day of my life

Sub-Zero

High End Bro
Platinum
did alright on the leg press machine...didnt have to worry about form so much since its a machine, and i think i did around 100 for 12.

then i went on to my first squat of my life and if i remember correctly it was a wobbly 25 on each side for 12
then 30 on each side for 10
35 on each side for 8, but i started doing this weird thing where i bend my knees to the side, and i had already taken some trouble getting my feet squared instead of pidgeon toed.

then i redid 35 on each for 6, making sure my form was perfect, and going 90 on all of them. the only thing i felt it in at all was my butt a little, and im not sore, but hopefully next time, since i now know what it is like, i can add more weight on there

actually, when you squat your feet will point out some. how much depends on the stance you use for squatting. i squat fairly wide and my feet will point out around 45 degrees.

i'm not so sure what you mean by your knees going to the side, but when you squat, you want to effectively spread apart the floor with your feet. this means that you will be putting force on your knees to the outside.

it would be hard to see what you are doing wrong without pics/video, but as long as you take some time to look up the correct form w/pics/video, you should be alright.

keep squatting. the extreme soreness that i am sure will come will eventually become bareable after lifting for a few weeks.

well ive watched squat videos and the coaches have showed us form, and i will continue to watch videos when i can, and look at the site that king posted.

i knew what i was doing wrong, and i fixed it, so i dont think it iwll be a huge problem down the line-and i used light weights this time to get used to the form:)

yeah come post back up on wednesday and report on your last experience sitting down on the toilet

keep at it
my legs actually are feeling a bit tired right now, but not so bad.

when wrestling season first started though, the stance worked my legs so bad that i felt like screaming when walking down the stairs for about a week and a half after:D

Thats pretty good for a first time squat. The amount you squat will go up dramatically in a short period of time as your form and comfort for the movement develops.
