First job

i had a fucking paper route...i got sweet tips at christmas time...i saved my money for a whole year and bought a brand new yamaha yz 125 :)

since ill be turning 16 in February i wanna get a job to make money on the side instead of relying on parents. Im planning on working at TGIFridays as a waiter/bartender lol jk on bartending

are you academically-inclined? do you play any sports and/or are you into music (like do you play an instrument?) or some other artistic endeavor? if so? fuck working while you're in high school...you're gonna get to be part of the real world soon enough...then you'll probably end up working until you drop over dead...attack and enjoy the little bit of time that you have left to be a kid! this is my God's honest advice to you.

i dont play any sports/instruments i just stick to bodybuilding that interests me the most.. i did do boxing/kikbox for a little bit to get me in shape.. i use to be fat.. but i started lifting eating rite taking creatine and saw good results and now im pretty big bigger than the average sophmore ppl at my school compliment me they know i dedicate my time to lifting and they saw im huge

are you in the top 5% of your class? if so, i would still tell you to be a kid for a little longer...i got my first job (the paper route) when i was 11 and have worked in some capacity or another every year since and, looking back?? i say FUCK THAT SHIT...you get to be a kid for about 10 damn seconds, then shit gets serious and stays that way...i'm not complaining...i kinda like being an adult most of the time...i'm just giving you the facts as i know them.

however, if you don't fall into any of those categories that i mentioned? by all means, get a job...you'll definitely learn a lot from the experience.

My first job was a cash under the table type gig, as a porter on a body shop. I was about 12 and I learned to drive by practicing on cars brought in for paint or bodywork. Lasted several years through high school.

My 1st legit job was working in engineering and R&D at Callaway Golf. I started as a senior in high school and lied about my age. It worked out decent for me, since they paid for a nice chunk of my education. I was fired for threatening an HR rep though.

I worked at a local grocery store too....with the creepiest guy ever!

I remember my first day at my first job, I'm sitting in the break room waiting to clock-in and he (who was 28 at the time) starts telling me this story about how he was dating 2 girls who he said were both 14 (pretty sure he was lying), then started on a story about how he was fired from his previous job for sexual harrassment. And I'm pretty sure I have a creepy story about him for every day I worked there

As long as it has 4 wheels :) The concept of working a clutch assists with learning motorcycles but its definetely starting over in terms of learning how to drive a vehicle.

The controls mirror motorcycles for that, so it would help more for motorcycles than cars.

I was in high school at the time though, and I only had one boyfriend throughout HS, and it definitely wasn't that creep.

I remember one time I was mopping, so obv I was walking backwards, and the store was dimly lit...and suddenly I bump in to him because apparently he'd been standing there the whole time watching and just didnt want to move out of my way I guess...and then he went in to this speech about Jack the Ripper. Sooo weird.
 
Female employees also didn't use the bathroom in the break room because when he was the only person in there with you, if you went, he'd go over the door and try to see through that like, half-inch crack between the door and the floor.

Lol, reminds me of my super market job at 16. The managers were in their 40's and total creep losers too. They were just dicks to me and acted like they were the shit. One day it starts hailing or sleeting really hard outside and the creepier manager with the fucked up teeth told me I had to collect the carts. I told him to look outside, that I needed to wait. He told me I still had to get the carts. I told him he can get them himself and that I quit. (I think he did end up having to get them ,lol) I used to ring people up and steal M+M's and shit like that when no one was looking. Nowhere near the theft I perpetrated at CVS though.

I was asked to get carts once while we were totally flash flooding. The water was almost up to my knees, so they handed me a rain jacket. I told them that made no sense. My sneakers and pants were still totally soaked. I did it, but I quit soon after.

...and when I put in my 2 weeks, the creeper broke in to my locker and left a rose and a creepy fucking note saying goodbye. lol.
