first injection

Just injected myself for the first time today . Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The needle pushed in really easy at first (I guess through the little bit of fat) then it was a little harder (the muscle I presume). Afterward my leg, on the same side of the glute I injected on felt a little strange. Its kind of hard to explain, but I was just wondering if that is normal? I think I might try another spot though because it was hard to try and hold the needle and aspirate.

That's probably just you being over sensitive or aware.

I think you did a pretty good job if you didn't bleed, the spot isn't all red and sore. You'll get better and more comfortable doing it over time.
Just try to be as relaxed as possible and don't rush it.

it gets better each time as you learn man... first few times there's normally errors and or nervousness

Pinning gets really easy. Sounds like you actually did pretty good. Definitely no need to aspirate though.
