first injection didnt go well...

Have just tried my first injection, 1cc of test e using a 23g 1" for the quad (found it hard to reach the glute). Each time i pushed the needle in more than a cm however my leg spasmed and i got a shot of pain. This happened three times before giving up and going for my left delt, does anyone know what it might be? Was sitting with my leg supported and relaxed, surely i couldnt have hit a nerve 3 times in a row??

Also, when i finally got it in my delt i found it very hard to pull or push the plunger, could hardly aspirate at all and it took about 3 mins of VERY hard pushing to get all the oil out. This was after heating the loaded syringe under very hot running water for a few mins!

Anyone know what the problem might be?

You sure you were using a 23g? Should have gone in nicely. Definitely sounds like you hit a nerve.

I would make it 'easy' to reach the glute. Hell with pumping in the shoulder. Especially test.

Tried to inject in the anterio-lateral part of thigh, checked it on spotinjections.com before hand. Also tried 3 times in slightly different places, surely it couldnt have hit a nerve 3 times in a row?

Was definatly a 23g blue needle, using a 2ml terumo syringe. Really confused over this as the oil was heated up quite a bit. My only thought was maybe a piece of glass in the needle?? i did notice a tiny air bubble that wouldnt come out (wasted a good bit of oil trying to do so) just under the needle, could this have caused it?
