Why is man so afraid of cloning??? Because it puts ethics of our mortality and question there-of in the spotlight? Or is it the disease thing? I don't buy into the idea life after death so why not allow clones-shouldn't it be my right as a human being? Cloning technology may also be neccicary to save the human race someday. Never hold science back.
because the newborn produced will have so many defects, because thousands of embryo's and babies will have to be killed due to defects in growth, because cloning is BAD for a species gene pool and because genetically manipulating on a whim is seen as undesirable.
religiously....there are ethical issues about toying with the DNA of man, but i dont think cloning as a whole is a bad idea (in animals for instance we could make a sheep that produces factor * in its milk, making life simle for haemophiliacs), but in humans it serves no purpose, there are other means of getting a child

Couldn't it be argued that Eve (or Eves pl.) was actually a clone from Adam?
no i dont think anyway , she's female. XX

man = XY
i do agree with your 'design' theory though

nice idea, ive always thought we are wayyy to sophisticated to just be a 'chance' event, given the diversity of life we've created on the back of carbon, hydrogen, sulphur, oxygen, notrogen etc
