Finally stopped my big cut! Just in time for my holidays on tuesday!ive been eatting a little more for the last couple of days, and my weight has actually decreased half a pound, however I am still running and doing sport on a daily basis. Final cutting stats

Start - Age 18
Weight - 206lbs
Height - 6 foot
Body fat - 38% (not sure the accuracy of this, used a relatively expensive electronic scale bf monitor my personal trainer owns)
Waist - 36"

4 months later
Age - 19
Weight - 150lbs
Height - 6 foot
Body Fat - 8% (same as above, I posted a pic of the abs on the pics forums and they say around 11ish! Anyhow im happy!)
Waist - 30.5"!

Im looking good, been on the Sunbed so ive got a nice tan, and even shaved most of my hair off! No-one can recognise me!! :verygood:

I am looking kinda skinny with my t-shirt on, but dont look as bad without a shirt on.

I'm wanting to get up to about 180 when im off my holidays, prob gonna need a weeks or 2 dieting when i get back anyway.

I've put a pound on since thursday, im just wondering is this natural? would it be muscle mass? ive been pretty active, lots of tennis, road running, a big weights session?

wel no shit.....you dropped 56lbs in 16 weeks..........1/2 or more I will bet was muscle......if you did it clean, 1-2 max is the rule of thumb when adding mass or cutting bro........maybe first 10 were water, but after that...well...you know........

I imagine a bodyfat % scale is largely useless
but if you lost 5.5" of waist and didn't have a hip surgery or anything then that's definite drop in bodyfat
may I ask what cardio/diet routine you followed
and how long you were on it

how did you do it man. i've been working my ass off at the gym and doing a lot of cardio and i can't cut fat off my gut for shit. i mean 30 to 45 min of cardio a day

Thats so awesome! Did you keep a log here?

I largely used Pintocas cutting spreadsheet thing, It coinsided with major changes though, I mean before I was out every night drinking, being a student, and then started cutting as I got a job, so early mornings, no drinking, eating properly, it was probably closer to 5 months but serious for 4. I´m on holiday at the moment and just enjoying things, but have limited myself to only one night drinking, with the lads so it would be hard to cut this completely.

I´ve not kept a log, but I will definately be doing as soon as I get home, gonna cut for 2 weeks just to get back into a good level of fitness and then I´m going to bulk up intil christmas, I put weight on and lose weight very easily, think its to do with my age.

Also I found that sports helped me, aswell as my running for cardio I was doing first thing, 50mins running before breakfast, I would also be playing some sport 3 night of the week and lifting twice. I probably was not doing this right because I have been hell active, but ive got to where I want to be, and Im there.

Cheers guys, will defo be keep a bulking log! Just want to get upto about 175lbs over the next year, you guys think this is possible.

Also Im also blesssed with studying sports science at university and having an individual PT twice a week.

My next step is pass some PT certification or something, and after successfully dieting for the first time, I would like to pass it on to others, possibly become a dietician after university!

Because I am 21 and in college, what I have been doing instead of a "cheat day" is going out to dinner, etc. with friends on Friday and Saturday NIGHT ONLY and ONLY drinking on ONE of those days, never both. I still also limit myself to one soda on Friday while I am at work. Even on the "cheat nights" I still drink my gallon of water for the day before I get out of class at 1 PM (start with a water bottle in the morning and fill it up between/during classes throughout the day at a fountain). Then at work I drink about 2 20oz. bottles of Gatorade (its HOT outside) and then afteward I just drink water as I get thirsty and not worry about meeting any preset ammount.

Just some tips on balancing stuff throughout the day while going to school AND work. Ohh and my lunch consists of whatever I pack in the morning to chow down in my car in about 10 minutes before work. I don't even really count it as a meal but would regret not doing it around 4 o'clock.

Im doing well, ive been here for a week nearly and drank not once, wahoo! Not going to that alcohol is what got me fat in the first place...and the crap I ate after when I was drunk, a pizza...kebab, maybe both, and throw in some chips. God I got hungry when I was drunk....this twice a week maybe, sometime less, sometimes more, was what I feel made me FAT! Before then I could eat shit loads and just not get fat...probably the sport I was doing.

I cant wait to get home, decided that im gonna bulk definately, need some weight behind me before the Rugby season!
