'bout 6 months now after my pec tear while doing weighted dips. I wasn't even able to bench for the longest time. But I was able to do dumbbells if I held them a certain way. started benching again 3 weeks ago and hit 225 for a single over the weekend. It flew up, I just wanted to feel it. Just couldnt even handle any kind of weight in the stretch position until now, so I am psyched...got to get back to where I was, the 385-400 range hopefully. So hard to take it slow when the strength and enthusiasm are there but the connective tissue is not...
too short a warmup, overpscyhed, bounced dip with 100 strapped on. Just felt it tear loose in the bottom position. Went right to the ER. Still have a nasty dent in my chest to show for it but at least it didnt tear completely off.
