Fina Filtering

When you are making the Fina ( I am referring to the instructions on this page http://www.elitefitness.com/members/finaplix/make.html ) Is it nesacary to do step number 11 - the coffee filter step if you do not let it set for over an hour as it indicates in step number 5 or should you do the coffee filter step anyways?

Word around the campfire is that the coffee filter step is not neccessary.

Coffee filter is not needed, but you do have to be carefull not to stick the pin in the gunk when drawing to sterile filter or you will glog your filter in a hurry.

so basicly skip steps 11-14?

You still need to heat it in boiled water, just skip the steps where you pour it through the coffee filter. The heating helps to further seperate the gunk from the good stuff. After that let it sit overnight to further settle and seperate. Then warm slightly(carefull not to stir it up) and sterile filter while its a little warm to make it easier. Then bake if desired.
