it's hard to tell how cubans feel about castro....I mean, I know what american media would have us beleive, but I know 5 guys that go down there regularly......and all have said how outstanding Cuba is....that cubans seem to be very "content" people. I don't know.....I've always felt Castro to be somewhat of a curious character.....but if the majority of people in cuba like him...than that's that. Just like venezuelans like chavez, predominantly. I''m guessing you're not a castro lover though huh?.... :coffee:

fuck yeah bama just scored on a 86 yard punt return
and then recovered the ensuing OSU kick return
I'm going out

I visited there a few years ago (with my Mexican passport) and the people seemed happy. Mainly the gripes I heard were for the material goodies we have in capitalist countries. I didnt see any evidence of like ironfisted repression or anything.

ok....good post and everything......but where the hell did that ass come from woman? The thong.....it like......completely disappears......and it's solid........ok, back to the post......this is exactly what I hear from everyone that goes there, they're like the happiest people on earth....that and $25 makes you rock star. Seriously......10 star hotel rooms for less than $50. You could retire there with 100k saved up.

well I'm not sure I'd say they were that happy, but it certainly isnt the communist stereotype of fear, repression, and spartanism. I mean the peeps live on a gorgeous carribean island, right? How horrible could it be. I did ask a few people why do some risk their lives on rafts, and that pendajo that crossed in a converted truck, twice , and basically I heard it was to get the American dream of capitalist awesomeness. You know, greed. Either that or to join family in Miami.

Maybe you should have gone to church or held a prayer meeting in your house. Or maybe started a business and tried to keep the profits for yourself and your family.

While you were sitting in jail maybe you would have heard others griping.

It always comes in threes.

You and the two monkeys in your avatar?

We should invade Cuba and liberate their country. Plus, steal their huge oil field which may be the third largest off-shore deposit in the world.

Southern Florida could ship everyone home

Odd that the news seems to be completely oblivious to this story...

I like the jineteras....

What's your point? The people shouldnt be happy? I'm telling you what I saw and what Cubans told me. No one expressed concerns about religion to me, just lack of material goodies and wealth.
