Feels like outer pec is going to rip chest work....

hello- my outer pec has been feeling funny, at the bottom of the bench press, the outer left pec feels like over streched, and the further into the set, it gets worse....I'm scared it will possibly rip if I continue....doesnt feel like this on inclines though...no matter how much I stretch or warm up, has been feeling like this for the last three workouts....
anyone???

lol but it feels like its gonna rip man..at the last reps i cant bring the weight all the way down cuz its to tight.

i fo:

Flat DB press
Decline DB press
Incline DB press
Cablecrossovers
 
Decrease the speed of the negative motion and do not 'explode' out of the bottom position.
 
I've tried different speeds- it happens during the negative- I always go slow on the way down- I'd say within 5 inches down the chest, feels funny...I could get few more reps, but I'm scared of gettnig hurt.....
 
Pectoralis major strains, tears, ruptures are definatley not unheard of in weight-lifting, especially since all are due to range-of-motion exercises.
 
Maybe you have shoulder laxity. Does your shoulder feel like it is going to dislocate if you do an exercise like cross bench pullovers?
