I was supposed to train chest today, one of my fav. body parts to train, but I just didn't feel like going in. been going hard for the past 2 months. is it a good idea to take a week rest or should i push myself to get in there, eve though I don't really feel like it. my diet has been kind of slacking as well. Mon-Fri. pretty strict, weekends I loose it. I eat anything.
anybody going through this right now? or any ideas?

I think you should listen to your body. If you've been hitting it hard for two months, you're not gonna lose anything. In fact, it might help you out. I'll take a week off after three months or so. I'm doing that now as a matter of fact. After eight years, I can tell when the old body needs an extended rest. So that's why I'm sitting in front of the computer right now spewing out my genius. Normally, I'd be doing deads about now.

One night's not gonna kill ya bro, so don't sweat it.

My diet can kill me, old proverb "Eat shit, Feel like shit". When I slack alot, fast foods, junk, soda, my body starts to scream at me. I loose energy real easily, and just downright lazy.
Time off once in awhile is not a bad thing though. Can help me recover and come back stronger at times.

Atta boy. My guess is come next week, your strength will have increased, believe it or not. Always happens that way for me.

Listen to the machine, take a week off and come back refreshed and invigorated.

I agree with the previous posts, but I don't really think the reason is because you've been training too hard. It sounds like you are psychologically drained (since your diet is also suffering).

Depending on your goals, diet is more or less important. If you are bulking, I wouldn't worry too much about occasionally eating high-fat foods (just make sure you consume a good portion of protein as well). If you are cutting, obviously the junk food is your worst enemy.

I'd take the week off, eat what you want, get some good sleep, and then hit the gym hard next week. If you see a trend of not feeling like going to the gym, you might want to reevaluate your goals.

As a sidenote, I've found that drinking a bottle of Speedstack about a half hour before a workout, greatly heightens my motivation and energy in the gym - even on down days. Try it and see if it works.
