FDA orders destruction of $1.3 million worth of product

Hey, let's not make this an excuse to post ant politically biased statements. With all the fuck ups going on at the time Bush made a state of the union address talking about "the scurge of steroids" so it's not like one side is any better than the other.

Agreed. You can point fingers all you want, but when it boils down to it, we're all in this together.

Whether it be the economy, war, or supplement industry, it's up to the people to correct the problems.

How about: FDA orders destruction of 1.3 million dollars worth of Dunkin Donuts

This would actually be protecting consumers.

And this has nothing to do with the current administration. It has to do with people trying to make a name for themselves by riding whatever the current craze is. Unfortunately performance enhancing drugs is flying high right now.

I'm confused. I thought Methyl 1-D XL didn't even contain a hormone. What is the grounds here for this order?

Well it depends on which context they're using the word "steroid". Steroids can include Cholesterol, b12, corticosteroid (cortisone)... etc.

The agency said that its laboratory tests had found Methyl 1-D and Methyl 1-D XL contained 1,4,6-androstatriene-3,17-dione, also known as ‘ATD’ or 1,4,6-etioallocholan-dione. The Formadrol Extreme XL supplement product contained ATD and 3,6,17-androstenetrione (also known as ‘6-OXO’).

Both of these substances are steroids that inhibit the activity of the enzyme aromatase and may be found in dietary supplements promoted to boost testosterone levels, said FDA.

*face palm*

b12 is the least of our worries

Apparently the FDA has deemed Cheerios a "drug"
General Mills, Inc., Warning Letter

Apparently I was a drug addict from the age of 2 :p

Update on this.

Apparently GM is going to have repackage their boxes to read "Whole Grain" instead of "Cheerios" in their cholesterol advertisements

cheerios a drug? WTF? damn now i gotta go to the street corners to get my cheerio fix. "hey mayn u got any of them loops?"

LMFAO!

Cheerios is one story but banning a steroidal AI is also ridiculous. I definitely sympathize with LG on this one, but they definitely red-flagged themselves with a name like "Legal Gear". Hopefully they will rebound from this.

I tossed a bunch of replies in this thread. It was crap.

I created a new thread in the political forum with some of the off-topic political mumbo jumbo responses in case you wish to reply to it there.
