so for fat burning and NOT muscles loss, incline treadmill would be the best. That is what I always thought. Anyone want to explain to me what a HIT is? Also what is the heart rate I should be staying inbetween. SC what do you recomend for cardio, BTW im not goin for the skinny ass B-ball player look ;-)

i myself like to mix it up on a treadmill.....im on a cutting routine so i usually do a 30 min cardio session.......i walk for 2 mins at 3mph, then run for 1 min at 6.5-7 mph......i alternate for 30 mins doing that WHEW that gets the metabolism up and down and up and down.....u will definately see a BIG difference with this......i can vouch for that !! Plus u will be sweating like a whore in church......

I used to run ~5 miles x 5 days a week first thing in the morning when I was "cutting" and then I'd go lift in the afternoon 5 days a week. My lifts dropped when I started running in the mornings like that, and a buddy of mine told me to get really cut I should run LESS and I thought he was nuts. For the last three weeks, due to a new job I started, the only cardio I've done is 4-5 miles on Saturday and Sunday, and then I play hockey one night a week. I lift weights on my lunch break M-F and sometimes I'll go do some weight work on Sunday night. I have burn more fat, and gained muscle, while doing this new routine. So while I'm not answering the "What's your favorite type of cardio?" question, I just figured I'd share that for anyone who's thinking you have to do a ton of cardio to burn fat.

Elliptical -

Doesnt running increase your heart rate too much putting you in the cardio vascular range instead of the fat burning range?

I love how I can do 45-60 minutes with the elliptical without being short of breath at any given moment plus, it burns nearly twice as many kcals per hour making the whole shit worth it. Bro, I aint gonna run like a mad man for measly 300 cals in 45 min.

What the fat burning zone? What percentage of your MHR? and for how many minutes?

SC, what cardio would you recommend?

heavy bag. good cardio AND fun. especially with the master of puppets album blasting in the back ground.
