Fat gain while on AAS

Wondering what the best way to control my fat gain. Just started taking Test E on second week. Kick starting with Heladrol. I've gained about 10lbs since I started but it seems like I'm getting more fat than I want. I'm trying to eat a surplus cals but would prefer a lean bulk to cut while on. Can you cut while on a Test E cycle? I want to put on muscle but not tons of fat and I think thats what I'm doing. If I stay at under maintenance cals will that hurt the results from the Test? My diet is good and other than Paddys day have stayed away form alcohol so not sure what to do.

That happened to me, but I stuck to the either carbs or fat + protein in each meal serving, never both together, as they are two energy sources competing with each other, that change worked for me, but you do have to remember that Test E WILL make you gain weight, though that will begin to taper off around week 8 or so IMHO.

Control your estrogen and you wont gain fat use an androgen + anti e like proviron or masteron and it'll help you lose it even faster

You can cut on any steroid however you need to know how to do it. its not as easy as it sounds especially with compounds like Test Eth,Dbol,Deca..etc

we need to have a look at that diet also.

u could be mistakening water retention nd bloat as fat

IMO might need ot get an A.I to lower some of ur confusion
Blaster, was thinking the same thing. By week three I was feeling like I was gaining fat, but it ended up being water. Only you can tell, but don't rule it out. Once I started the aromasin, in three days I was dried up and looking lean again. Now the proviron has me really hard, so I actually increased my test to 500mg a week last week.

Also, watch out for any carbs, they seem to bloat me easier while taking test.

On a said note, I picked up some 27g 1 and 1/4" pins and use them with quads now. Wow, painless, easy, smooth...You gotta try quads. :D

Pretty much the only thing you can eat when trying to build muscle and stay lean is chicken breasts, rice, egg whites, tuna fish, oat meal, natty peanut butter, and bananas. It sux yes, I know...

Thanks for all the replies. I'm hoping this might be water weight and that it. I started taking adex yesterday in the hopes to control it. My diet is as follows. I dont change it to much other than maybe trying to add larger portions here and there so I can have the calories.

Meal 1. 1 cup Kashi Go Lean Cereal with 1 cup skim milk
1 slice of whole wheat toast with 1+ tbsp NPB

or 1 cup Skim milk
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 scoop protien powder all bleanded together

1 hr later 1 slice whole wheat toast with 1+ tbsp NPB

Meal 2. 2 scoops protien powder in water

Meal 3. 1+ cup whole wheat pasta
1 chicken breast
1+ tbsp olive oil

Meal 4. 1 large can tuna

Meal 5. (post workout) 1 EAS myoplex RTD meal replacement drink (42G protien) or 2 scoops protien powder in water
1 Banana

Meal 6. 1 block of cold tofu
1 green giant garden vegetable medley frozen veggies

or 1 chicken breast with BBQ sauce
1+ red potatoe bolied and tossed with Olive oil and garlic

Meal 7. 1 cup skim milk
1 scoop protien powder
1+ TBSP NPB

I've been trying to eat larger portions just for calories but find it difficult to eat this much in a day. I try not to eat more that 500 cals at a time and more than 50 grams protien at a time. Also after 4pm I try to only eat veggies as my carbs. I have been eating out a little more over the last couple weeks due to time but it is mostly healthy foods like chicken and tuna and maybe some olive oil and bread (yeah I know this isn't to good)

Needto, will the need2slin allow me to better utilize the food I'm eating? Anyone else please critique my diet. Add what you think is better. I'm not much of a cook so most of my food is easy to make with the chicken going on the george foreman or in the oven.

Thanks for the replies. I really want to do this right. I had cut down pretty well before this to around 12% bf and hate seeing it going out the window.

Regardless of the claims, whole wheat isn't that much better than white bread. Whole wheat spikes my blood sugar, so I have eliminated it from my diet completely. Try switching to a whole multi-grain, or get away from breads entirely. I switched to Kashi 7 grain bars and they seem to work fantastic as a slow carb.

Drop the pasta (same "whole" grain issue here).

Drop the red potatoes especially that late in the day.

What I'm not seeing alot of is healthy fats- try adding in some walnuts, pecans, almonds, replacing carb calories with these.

Thanks D_arson. Yeah I should have said whole grain pasta and bread. Its the arnold 12 grain or eziekiel bread and barilla whole grain pasta. What should I replace the pasta with. I have brown rice but my 1 try at cooking it ended in disaster. Would eating more PB help in getting the healthy fats there? I can get nuts but they never fill me up and I end up eating too many.

Also I think I will try to get the diff needles you said and try the quads also. Yesterday I had a hell of a time injecting the left glute and it hurts like crap now.
