Fat Free questions.

I'm currently on a cutting cycle and I was wondering if It's ok to the following:
1) fat free salad dressing, to my lettuce & turkey salad, or to my lettuce & tuna salad??
2) fat free Mayo ok to eat with tuna.
3) Is Fresh Letture ok to eat instead of bread. I was told to stay away from whole wheat bread and whole grain when cutting.
4) Cranberry Juice, it has alot of sugar but i need it cause i'm takin winny and fina.

1. Fat-free dressing is fine. But you might try a light oil and vinegar or balsamic vinagrette dressing. You will need to supplement some good fat while bulking and that stuff will help.

2. Fat free mayo is fine, but try Canola Oil mayo instead. It's low fat, but it's good fat, and it tastes better.

3. Unless you're on an atkins-type diet, whole grain bread is ok. If you are, then use lettuce.

4. Simple carbs are always bad on a cutting diet. That's up to you.

**very easy to over eat on fat free salad dressing, I'd recommend olive oil instead**

**I tend to stay away from any kind of breads when cutting, I only take in veggies and oatmeal as carbs, and if I have a cheat day I'll add in some sweat potatos, and maybe some fruit**

**Take cranberry extract, GNC sells the supplement pretty cheap**

the idea of fina being hard on the liver/kindeys is a myth.

some bros over on the fina board while believing fina isn't hard on them follow better safe than sorry which is definitly a good approach.

Use cranberry extract instead of cranberry juice

its cheap at any vitamin shop.

make sure to read the panels some isn't nearly as potent of an extract mg for mg. Either way much much much better than loading up on all the sugar in cranbery juice if memory serves me right an 8oz glass of cranberry juice (actually I think it was grapejuice) has 40 grams of fructose sugar OUCH.

i was under the impression sweet potatoes were a good source of carbs. Can s.p. be a replacement or used in conjunction with oats if eaten in the morning?
 
Sweet potatoes are fine when bulking or cutting, just to meet my daily calorie intake, I'm unable to fit it in my diet.. When bulking though I eat them a few times a week. And yes you can replace oats w/ sweet potatoes, I like eating oatmeal instead though b/c I mix my protein powder in it.
 
how important is it

to count calories when cutting?

i havent done it in months, but always work out my p/c/f ratio..and figured this is enough.
im currently carb rotating, 3 days hi, 2 low, 2 low-zero.

Depends on how "cut" you want to be.. A 200 calorie difference for me can mean a difference in have a rock hard stomach and a little fat covering my lower abs. If you have quit a bit fat, then don't pay that much attention to it, but once you cut a lot of fat and want to have great looking abs, then it will be pretty important. Genetics play a big factor too in this. I have a really slow metabolism system, so I tend to store fat a lot quicker then other people do, so I have to count every calorie.
