FACT: people without college degress make more than people who do!!!!

argent said:
Doctors, lawyers, engineers. architects, all have degress, many beyong Bachelors. I would bet that with those 4 professions alone make more than the non-degreed people, unemployed entrepenuers included if you averaged evrything out.
Lawyers and engineers can be entrepreneurs, too.

I think most of the millionaires made their money through "entrepreneurship", whether they went to university or not. University can make a person a better potential entrepreneur, too.

Most but not all 19 year olds are not knowledgeable enough to set up a truly profitable business yet anyway. No one is going to start a law, architectural or medical firm without a higher education. Having said that, the people who invest in these things could be non-university-educated. The developer that pays an architectural firm to design homes for a new development makes more money than the architects.

Education does not equal motivation.

9/10 times, an educated and motivated individual will outperform someone who is uneducated and motivated.

You think that employers dont look at where your degree came from? Certain degres ahve more credibility than others.

However, I do agree that degrees are common.......too common.

Yep. But seriously dude, nowadays EVERYONE has a degree. With foreign degrees, online degrees, more universities and colleges -- everyone and their mother has a degree now. Look at the IT career. Having a degree just means you're guy #58581 in line for the job instead of #58582.

We all know people with degrees who have failed........and people witohut them that have succeeded. However, you have to look at the big picture to get the general trend.

50% of all students leavibng A-levels is the government target isnt it?

maybe i should quit uni and be a plumber. its becoming increasingly evident that this is gonna be where the real money is as everyone else will have a degree in social studies with a minor in the history of art or something

50% going into higher education. They are under the impression that better education leads to nationwide wealth.........unfortunately the experts dont agree. I really dont see how getting all of these kids into further education or above helps anybody.......especially when they are mainly doing poor quality degrees or pointless subjects.

Like anything in life, it's what you make of it. I've seen lazy peopl ewith degrees go nowhere, I've seen ambitous people with degree who are successful. I've seen lazy people with degrees go nowhere, and you guessed it. I've seen ambitious people without degrees become successful. It is what you make of it. That's the bottom line cause Strider says so.
