F*** Ronnie Coleman

yeah, cutler was complaining, but he doesn't bring anything to the table that ronnie can't bring (other than abs). Cutler's waist is as big, and even though his back was improve this year, c'mon now, it doesn't compare to ronnie's.

ronnie wins, and will continue to win, because he is the best big man, and that is who has won the Olympia the last 20+ years...the best big man.

there were several years where a smaller guy could've beaten Haney, I mean, Haney would come water-logged, with little rolls of fat on his lower back, but no one was even close to him in proportionate mass.

dorian was very beatable from the front, but when he turned around, it was all over, no one could compete with him in the mass department (or conditioning, for that matter). Did he have flaws? Sure, tons of 'em, but he won because he was the best big man.

Ruhl could beat Ronnie, except he isn't as good from the back. Same with Gunther, who also needs to bring up his legs.

jay will not beat ronnie unless ronnie screws up. Jay's simply not big enough. Same with Gustavo, who also has a preggo-belly. It's just not going to happen. Coleman will hold it until another beast comes along that brings something to the table that Coleman doesn't.

Billy Wilmore is a personal friend of mine, he looks in the best shape ever, and I am excited for him this weekend. How do you like his chances for his Pro card at the Nationals this weekend?
I think its his too loose, after the last 2 years being so close, and this year he looks even beeter than last year, when there was a near riot in the stands over the placement of Cook over him.

Obviously this year was his! Bill is a complete sweetheart and he'll actually do something w/ that pro card too!

Over the holiday I got a copy of Coleman's 'Cost of Redemption' DVD...and all I can say is 'HOLY SH*T'. Some of his example lifts were: 800lb squat for 2 reps; 735lb behind the back shoulder shrugs for reps; seated dumbell press with 160lb dumbells for reps. I've watched the DVD multiple times, it felt like I got a pump from watching it the first time, and continue watching it for workout motivation...for only 20 bucks, I'd highly recommend it if you enjoy 'motivational' DVDs :)

btw: according to Ronnie, he weighed ~310 during the video.

I know Ronnie is huge but his form in that vid sucks, and those half-reps

After watching Ronnie's Redemption video, I noticed that he does not use real strict form...basically, he doesn't lock out on his reps. He does do quite a few reps/exercise (usually at least 10+) but def doesn't lock out the weight on his reps. This may be either from preference or due to some 'mechanical' flaw (e.g., joint problems) but it's clear that this method works for him so it's hard to criticize the results.

with the kind of weights he trains with I wouldn't lock out either !

Agreed. He makes the relatively high reps he does look 'easy' so not locking out may be just the way he trains. It's hard to argue with the obvious success he's had :)
