Lately, my gym has been playing this shit!! How can you do 135lb barbell curls when Boy George is playing? The owner from Nebraska is in town and he changed the station. Normally we play heavy music, but when the owner is in town all hell breaks loose. I come to train, not to pick up chicks or dance, as if it is a fucking nightclub:mad: Does anyone else feel these frustrations?

Hell yes...I feel you.

I used to have to train to the backstreet boys and N Sync when I was in college because I worked out at the campus gym.

The only way to train is to something heavy (i.e. Megadeth, Metallica, Static X, etc.)

This fucking hip hop, rap, soft rock, and dance just don't cut it when you have 315lbs on your back at the squat rack.

Not to piss off any fans of that type of music but...the truth hurts.

Some of those songs I'm sure would appeal to fans of rock or someone who just needed something to get hyped up, especially the songs "Cop Killer" (crazy adrenaline) and "Natural Born Killaz". A lot of that other shit is good, too.

Still, if I owned a gym, I'd make everyone who joined sign a release saying they wouldnt complain about the music and 70% of what you'd hear would be AC-DC or Metallica, with other metal, some techno, and some of the above rap songs being played as well.

For a metal lifting album, I suggest "Black Album" or "And JUstice For All" - Metallica, "My Own Prison" - Creed, or the live album that has all the good AC-DC hits. Or just burn a bitchin mix.

what is he spinning lately? I just know he spins, but not the genre... is he a part of the small club of stars that have started spinning dance music?

Last time I heard about that fool he was spinning house tracks just like Lady Kieff (Deee-Lite singer) and many others. From what I've been told he sucks. But he has contracts cause of his name....
