man I killed shit today, beast would be proud

I matched previous PR's in a bunch of things (big deal considering I'm recovering from a 15 lb weight loss) and set a new PR in squats.

I'm tossing around weights that would have destroyed me 4-5 weeks ago. Ah, weightlifting...
 
That's what's so great about lifting. It's just you, the weight and your mind. Constantly growing bigger and stronger or leaner is truly satisfying. I wish more people woud lift and enjoy the benefits of it.

yeah, it's weird.

I widened my stance a bit (now it's maybe 4 inches wider than shoulder-width),
I sit between my legs instead of on top of them, and focus on driving through the heels (I used to fall forward onto balls of feet, sometimes even toes)

all in all I'm loving the squats. Favorite movement easily.
 
nice, nice. its good to hear you getting stronger even after dropping that weight. im starting to think that gaining 20 pounds is not a goal that i actually want- its the strenth that i want. besides that- im not eating enough to get past a 10 pound gain before the new year.

i love squats too, wide stance.
