Experts: What does the body have a tendency to do after cutting cycle?

I am completing a test/eq cutting cycle and have dropped a lot of bf while increasing mucle slightly. Is it easy to keep bf down post cycle or does the body tned to put fat back on? Obviously considering that diet and training stay in check.

I am happy with how lean I am, but I am worried that post cycle when test is low and estrogen is high that the fat will be hard to ward off. I have been taking arimidex thorughout the cycle and have no bloat at all currently. I have read not to run arimidex post cycle but nolvadex instead. However nolva won't control bloat since it doesn't stop the conversion of estrogen. What can be done to counter act this? I want to stay lean and maintain my current look?

For PCT, in addition to proper anciliaries, do ATLEAST 2-3 session a week of moderate intensity cardio at 15-20 minutes each to keep BMR elevated and eat calories at maintenance again to counteract catabolism from coming off cycle to preserve LBM while making sure extra fat is not added. Other things you can do are to keep carbs at 1g per pound of bodyweight, keep them complex and LOW GI and NEVER EVER consume fats and carbs in the same meal, that is just asking for fat storage! Follow these tips and you should be well off! Good luck (K always welcomed :) )

Once my hormones stabilize I am confident that I can maintain the LBM and low bf. I am just concerned about keeping the fat off while avoiding catabolism. I would give you karma if i knew how???? LOL

Just make sure you get in those cardio sessions and keep your diet CLEAN and the fat will stay off. After cutting most have a tendency to go back to their normal eating habits and stop doing cardio all together....the body will rebound in such a way where it will WILLINGLY put on the fat since one's BMR is greatly lowered in addition to bad calories as well as calorie surplus. As for the K, just click the yin-yang symbol on a member's post you approve/dissaprove of and make any comment you want and thats it!

So I should bump calories back up to maintenance and cut back on the duration of weight training and cardio? I love the veins in my abs and over my back and shoulders etc, I need to keep this look. I have never down a cutting cycle, normally after a bulker I look better post cycle when the bloat diminishes. I Am just curious as to what happens after a cutting cycle.

You are correct, bump UP those calories back to maintenance to counteract catabolism, don't lose too much sleep over it though, rest assuresd if your eating clean and doing those cardio sessions you will NOT put the fat back on. As for training, working out 3-4X a week with a lowered volume (set/rep), strength focused routine is ideal during PCT for keeping LBM, as for cardio, like I said 2-3 sessions at 15-20min each will do.

Bump them SLOWLY and keep a close eye on your appearance. And remember. Being lean isn't maintained after dieting down without proper diet. Diet and cardio is what got you lean ion the first place. Proper diet isn't a tempoaray fix to get and keep the body you want, it's a way of life.

i agree with izzman, most people have tendancies to begin eatting habits from before their diet or forget cardio. Also its important to remember that the weight you lost (mass of fat cells) is still there (presence of the original fat cells) and they are just shrunken and "crying out" for food because they are "starving" for nourishment. This is another reason why so many people yo-yo to original weight or beyond. Dont give into temptation!

I am very smart with nutrition and never.....ever.....slip or cheat. I season my food to make it taste good so I never crave anything else. To me a chicken salad, or oatmeal and equal, or a sweet potatoe is delicious!

I was just curious if it is possible to remain as lean as I am now naturally or if this "state" is only maintained with drugs. I wish I could post pics to show what I mean. I am 5'7" 180lbs and although I do not know bf % exactly, I have vascularity through upper and lower abs, quads, shoulders, and arms etc. It just seems to good to be true as I have never in my life been this lean, it feels great!

Would high dosages of glutamine and BCAA's help in preserving muscle mass post cyle or is it a waste? Some people say that BCAA's are a waste and are no different than whey protein, but I beg to differ. They seem to work well in preserving muscle while calories are beloe maintenance.
