Ex bf has gone absolutely insane...

I got a call from a storage unit place in Florida that I used to store my stuff when we broke up. They told me that this man named Dan Baker kept showing up with a copy of the initial invoice to my unit and claimed to be my "landlord" and said that he was authorized by me to get into my storage unit. They said he has tried this on several occassions now and that they keep sending him away. :worried: i thought he was doing pretty good on the "no contact" thing before, but I guess he just wants to take something out on my clothing. LOL What a moron.

They said if he shows up again they will call the police for tresspassing. You would think he would have moved on. I haven't spoken to him since December and got a no contact order against him.

I am considering filing stalking charges.

I wasn't planning on asking for any. I was actually hoping that he would sign a voluntary termination of parental rights. One of my best friends is an EXCELLENT attorney down here and keeps telling me that I should get the child support from him but I wasn't planning on it.

He lives pretty far away, so I think I'm safe. I think he just wanted to pillage my stuff. They have security cameras. What a dork.

You would think making half a mil a year he would have no interest in taking some bits of furniture and clothing. It is purely out of spite.

half a mil a year? I imagine it takes a modicum of effort to amass a salary of that level and no way would anyone have time to dick around at an ex's storage unit trying to break in.

That's crazy, the child support is the right of the child even if you don't need it. Take the support and invest it for your child's future if nothing else, having college paid for plus an extra 100k+ is a huge advantage starting out in life.

My fear is that if I file a paternity suit to get the baby child support he will feel then that he is paying for the baby and want to see her. I would honestly fear for her safety with him. He has gotten mad and ripped doors off hinges, hit his kids, hit me, thrown TV's. I never want my baby to see violence. I would be terrified to leave her alone with him at any age.

If he were a safe parent, I would definitely want her to see him even if he and I were mad at each other. I would never use a child as any sort of leverage. I just don't think he is safe to be around, unfortunately.

In Kentucky I would get about $1500-$2000/month is all. I'm not so sure it is worth the trouble.

That comes out to only .4%. Kentucky is bassackwards.
 
Giving up a few dollars in child support is well worth it if she can get him to terminate his parental rights.

I am speaking from experience.

My husband is considering offering $ to my ex if he will just give up the kids but we know that it isn't money OR the kids he wants. The sick sonofabitch wants me and my oldest daughter is paying the price for being the oldest female in the house.
 
if he is that bad with hie temper then you can get supervised visits only ...you would not even have to go a court soicial worker would do it and then only on the courts schedule


he would get tired of this very quickly


and the less contact he has the more support you get

yeah, it trails off at upward limits.

Some other states you get up to 25%. If I were a real bitch, I would move to a 25% state and nail his ass, but I'm not like that.
 
I think, beings you have a restraining order against him and you've filed formal charges against him that the courts would look at it as the baby would not be in a safe environment around him. They'd rule in your favor. He may get supervised visitation.

but, you're the attorney, not I ;) I don't know what the hell I am talking about!

That is very possible. He probably would get tired of flying to Ky to see her, too. I just am afraid to risk it.

It doesnt always work the way that people think it does.

Just because there is a final order of protection in place for the mother that does not = the father automatically having limited OR supervised visitation.

Another little known fact about the system that is supposed to protect children.

You should talk to your friend about the possibility of only getting supervised visitation.

it all depends...I have been through this and a few of my friends have too

if she really wants to make things hard on him she can and the courts will do it for her

Well, the positive thing is that I am an attorney and have very excellent attorneys as friends. We could keep him tied up in Kentucky courts so fast his head would spin. If he wanted to play hardball, i would kick his ass in court. I have NO DOUBT about this. His money wouldn't save him up here. The judges here wouldn't take kindly to an egotistical woman and child abuser in Kentucky. LOL.

I try to choose my battles in life though. I don't want my baby to see her mommy stressed and fighting with daddy. I want her life to be so sweet.

i don't know about that....she still needs to abandon her kids and run off to france, and start stripping, etc etc.....she has a long way to go, but she's well on her way.

I say she leaves the baby on someone's porch, only to fall in love with her son years later and father another child by her son, and run away with that child, so she then has her original baby-daddy after her, as well as her son/new baby daddy after her.....in a huge drama that all unfolds on EF.

I think you deserve to get child support, for what it's worth.

But I don't beleive for a minute that you will go without it.

I just think that the courts are completely wrong the way they calculate it for shared parenting plans. And I think women tend to abuse this, and divert the money for their own enrichment.

He makes well over 40k per month. I can't imagine he would miss 2k a month. It wouldn't even be noticable to him, seriously.

I make enough for the baby, now, though. I don't think we need his money. She may not get everything in the world but she will have the necessities. I don't know. I just want to protect her.
