ever break your nose doing curls?

I just broke my damn nose today doing curls. I under estimated my strength. Now im off to get surgury. This mutha hurts really bad......

gotta ask how you broke your nose doing curls.

i don't even touch my nose when i'm doing curls, let alone come close. so i gotta know the answer to life's mysterious question.

use more weight, it will stay down next time!! j/k i know that hurts. Broke my nose twice.
 
hmmm...first time with the new arms?

only way i could think of doing that was if i was using piss poor form and someone was leg pressing the bar AT my face. other than that i usually dont have too much trouble

people that cant control thier own body are affectionately called "motor morons" by the athletic community.
 
I believe you have used to much weight already.You'have done curls with too much weights you couldn't control....

You must have really did a number on your nose if you need surgery!! I have heard of bumping your nose while working out....but smashing it!?! Damn!

More unlikely, skullcrushers, properly performed, should go just beyond your head for a proper stretch in the tricep. No where near your nose. :doublefi:

lol...here is how it happened....I thought i had 150lbs on the cable..I was sharing it with a girl.. the first 3 sets she put it on the weight i was using..THE LAST SET SHE LEFT IT ON 40LBS! THEN WHAM!!!!! BROKEN NOSE....It was my 8th time breaking it so it didnt hurt very bad but it was painful....

I saw a guy doing preachers with a cable, and the attachment came apart and he hit himself in the forehead,and basically knocked himself out.Never heard of anybody doing shit like this with regular barbell curls however?.next time do incline dumbell curl it's safer or alternativly where a helmet .
 
ok.here is an update. my nose is now straight.lol
And im now dating the girl that was responsible for not putting the wieght back where i had it(therefore breaking my nose) So hey its all good i got painkillers and nookie.....
