Relax brotha! I agree with you. Mexican Spanish is shit. Castellano is the real language. It's amazing the difference in the two if you speak Castellano. I know you've done your research.

Azul, if somebody wants to go to TJ to buy anabolic steroids and has never heard or read about a "granero" then they have no fucking business going there. Period. Granero could mean "smelly diaper" in spanish and I really couldn't give a shit, but its COMMON knowledge in TJ that vet places are referred to as graneros. The End.

I have been there twice and know people who go there everyweek.
Taxilibre is pretty cheap (about $2 to Zona Norte) and safe.
Yellow cabs would charge $5-6. But they too are safe.

Walking on the bridge at night or when it is deserted is a lot more dangerous.

There was a lot of corruption in TJ Police but it is mostly eradicated. Some bad cops are still there.
TJ is just like any large US city. Just take sensible precautions. Don't go into deserted areas at night.
Police is very, very strict about recreational drugs. You may be randomly searched.
I don't know what their attitude is about AAS.
Be very respectful to Police and never use a swear word. Using 'offensive' language is a crime. A dude who has practically been living in TJ since last 10 years innocently used f*** word while talking to police and ended up with judge at midnight and payed a fine.
