Equip. problems...

Equipment trouble...

My problem is a mix between my build, my belt and my squat suit .

WHen i squat(only with the suit), the belt locks onto my hips , litereally cutting them open sometimes. And it prevents me from getting below parallel. The only way that i've tried succesffully to get down is to wear my belt obscenely high.

The reason that my belt locks up my hips is that when my belt is on, it touches both my bottom rib and my hip bone.. i have a VERY small space in between them.

For example, last time i tested my squat suit, i unracked 275, went down, and pretty much just sat at the bottom for a second or so, trying to get down, but to no avail. Even with 325, it wouldnt let me get all the way down because of itl ocking on my hips.

I asked this before, and i think the only response i got was from PLJay, saying to almost free fall the last two inches and use the suit re-bound to get back up.

Any other ideas?

You've probably already thought of this, but hav you considered having a special belt made that is narrower? I know a female strong woman competitor with no torso, and she was able to get more support that way.

I have the opposite problem...about 6-8 inches between the bottom rib and the hip bone. Also, my waist isn't at my lower back, like most men. So the belt always feels too high to help my back.

i wish i wasnt so tight on money.. im brining in pay checks that are 50$ a week! so i dont have much money.
i'd want to hear more opinions before i went out and spent a bunch of money again

I know I've seen narrower, not custom. Double prong too. I'll look around and see if I can find them again.
