Elite Member Dies - BusinessWeek to publish expose

wow. perrin thought he was crossing all his t's and dotting all his i's but he must have missed some. thats sad. ive never been attracted to x, meth or other stuff like that

I think this was a great response and i'm sure Mr. Peter Elstrom has gotten something to think about he probably thought that all the members here are stupid junkies  ... anyway I hops everything works out for u and EF...

And may Perrin R.I.P

-MAX :)

where

were or are the parents? If he was an adult he made an adult choice.

I'm go sick of when shit happens to people they can't held accountable for their own actions. OR if its a kid the parents want to blame everybody but themselves........and no body has the balls to say Look in the mirror and point fingers.

Anyone who works in marketing and PR will tell you any press is good press as long as they get the name right.
This is great for Elite. The traffic here should pick up very nicely for a week.
I don't think the members are going to like what they see however. They will be portrayed in a way that will sell Business Week. As pathetic drug users who congregate and exchange information about illegal drugs on the internet. The traffic will be people who want to see what these kids are saying to each other to encourage the use of these illegal drugs that killed someone. How George portrays us to them is not how the editors will characterize the members here.

I will miss him dearly ...he was a good one for sure, its a shame that anyone should have to take the blame.not being cold but we all know the risks....and George very good repley, this is always bad for the sport, skip

I personally would like to see the BusinessWeek article. I know it is not out yet, but I would like to read what kind of business BW has w/ Eric's tragedy.

You're probably right Ulter and I'm one of the people who will come back for a week or so and promptly disappear. But hey, george emailed me an "invitation" so i don't feel badly coming just to comment on this.

Most talk of steroid use is contained on the boards these days. I'm not aware of a print mag that picked up where BPs old mag left off. There is no Dirty Dieting and not even the WAR has been updated since '96. None of those things are needed because all the people who would buy them are here and getting their info real-time.

So when a kid drops dead of a "bodybuilding drug" where else would they look to place blame? Blame? Did I say blame? Oh you betcha! You see, when a young person dies in America it is never ever the fault of the young person. That reminds baby boomers too much of their own mortality (do you know Business Week's demographic market?) We can't have boomers thinking about dying so as any good journalist would do they set off on a quest for a scapegoat, a fall-guy, and a fixable solution. In step George and DNP. George = Scapegoat, DNP = fixable problem. You see how that works? Condemn George, recommend a new law, all is well, the roses can grow again and the sun can shine with God in her heaven and the Beaver saying g'nite to Ward and June.

Sad that this kind of investigative journalism may cast EF and the boards in a bad light. From the Perrin posts that George appended to his letter in explanation, it is apparent that he was a different person at night or on weekends, effectively negating any benefits he may have derived from EF's products.
Hope the article is not terribly unkind, and that the fallout doesn't turn into something like the Herbalife debaucle back in the 80's.
