Effects of Anit-E's on Women

I was posed with a question that I could not answer myself. Many men take anti-e's while cutting in prep for contest for obvious reasons. Can women do the same, possibly in smaller dosages, or would an anit-e be an all around no no for females ?

thanks
Indy

Wow!!! I have often wondered about this topic. It would be nice to see some examples from some people with real world experience.

I prep several figure athletes for shows and I always have them take 10 mgs/day of nolvadex the last 4 weeks before the show. Really hardens up their legs. I also have them take 25 mgs/day of Proviron the last 2 weeks.

No sides from the 25mg of Proviron in women ??

These posts are talking about CONTEST ready females. And for a set, short, period of time.

Anti-Es are NOT for "normal" women. There is nothing that shows it helps women of "normal" BF reduce bodyfat. There are several threads on this in the Women's Board.

Suppressing Estrogen in normal women (NOT contest prep) is stupid.

I have to disagree. Some women have naturally high estrogen which causes them to hold bodyfat. I agree with taking short runs of Nolvadex for women that don't compete.

Daisy does tend to take a very cautious stance with drug use for weight loss. This is a very interesting topic to me, because I have trained ladies that despite proper diet, and extremely rigorous exercise programs, still have trouble losing bodyfat.

But this should be done carefully - as it can cause women to have menopausal symptoms. I would think a doctor should be consulted. Self medication in this situation is not recommended.

Also, I do not have a caution stance against supplementation and weight loss. I am VERY against taking short cuts - especially ones done with little research or preparation. Most people who look to take drugs to overcome their "genetics" need a serious kick in the ass - their diet and/or training SUCKS. And, women don't have a whole lot of "wiggle room" when it comes to hormonal manipulations.
