It's not as clear-cut as people make it out to be.

The win wasn't handed to the Broncos.

The only Bronco near was Cutler. The chargers recovered the ball almost immediately after it hit the ground. There was no way the broncos could have recovered. That was very clear cut.

Anyway, IMO, the chargers basically slept through the first half and if they had played the first half like they played the second half they'd have dominated the whole game. The chargers should have never been in the position they were in at halftime. That's what really cost them the game.

Oh well, last season they started 1-3 and still almost made it to the Superbowl. Sure they had LT without injury the whole season and Merriman too, but that little guy Sproles was kickin some ass out there. Now if they can just fix that defense.

If the IRS 'made a mistake' and it cost you $10G's, I don't think you'd wrap it up as "eh mistakes happen in life".

The NFL has to have some sort of system to kick in when mistakes happen. 5 minute sudden death later on, wahtever, something.

All the NFL coaches and players that have never made a mistake that led to their team losing have legitimate complaints....all 4 of them.

players can't talk, but I feel for the coach. They are graded by their win-loss and production in the post season. No one is going to care that this loss was influenced heavily by something completely out of his control.
