One of my recurring duties is to screen resumes for management and clinical staff for my boss who is the hospital administrator. I'm continually amazed at the email addy's people will list on a professional resume.

ebonyprincessgoddess!? Jesus christ woman.

I don't want to be a dick, but if you were interviewing somewhere, with just a little effort (we do it at my work all the time), people could easily trace you to these forums. And I'm sure there are things on here you wouldn't want a potential employer to see.

So....we should all be aware

Admittedly, I'm very sleepy today, but you lost me here.

lol, no doubt. it wasn't really relevant to the topic, so I don't even know what the fucking point was.

I was trying to say that we should all cover our backs. If your resume landed on my desk tomorrow, I would be able to find you online here (and elsewhere presumably) pretty easily.

Coventry and a new username might not be a bad idea.

Well, one I guess could always work for themselves.

But that would require actual work.

Could be a challenge for some folks.

If you worked for youself and surfed on your work computer you would be your own boss and your responsiblity would be to yourself, no one looking over your shoulder, no back to be covered.

But by working for yourself - you would also be responsible for doing actual work and "bringing home your own bacon" regardless of your surfing habits.

Hope that makes better sense.

Oh and so we're all clear because I'm quoting killa doesn't mean I am suggesting that he sits on his ass surfing all day looking over his shoulder while other people get things done.

Just so we're all clear.

And back on topic - I would junk this chicks resume too.
From what I've read I think Rotten is most likely very effective at her job.

For some reason the hostility in your post didn't make sense to me. I don't understand why you are implying some people don't like to work and doing so is a challenge. Are you self-employed? Do you deal with lazy co-workers?

And being self-employed is not the only way to "bring home your own bacon." It has nothing to do with the amount of work required (in a calorie-burning sense)...it could be more or less depending on your profession.

Maybe it didn't make sense because I wasn't being hostile.

You got hostile from that?

I never said self-employed was the only way to make money, what I did say is that you ultimately would be responsible for making the actual money - as in no work accomplished, no actual money made.

I merely suggested that there a many people who would as Killa said watch their back and if found in a different position of responsiblity may not find similiar success as they did before -monetarily.

As far as calorie burning - you have completely lost me on that.

You're either defensive in this misunderstanding or you really want to pick a fight with me or maybe you're just having a shitty day.

Either way - I'm not biting.

and you already know that if she doesn't get the job she's gonna lay some discrimination smackdown on yo azz while her head spins around on her shoulders. If she shows up for the interview in a dashiki and cornrows I suggest you run like Forrest Gump for the nearest exit.

I highlighted the whole thing and tapped ye olde "delete" button but not b/c of the email addy though. She wasnt qualified. However I did enjoy a few seconds of evil pleasure dumping her due to that addy.

Thanks. :) I wish my boss would say so. Our hospital just got audited by JCAHO and modesty aside I'll tell you I had a lot to do with documents in Admin being in order for their visit. The best my boss managed in the way of a thank you to me was "thoroughness has it's own rewards". Wow..thanks boss.
