eBay question. Think this could be a scam?

That machine is well worth over $1500. And the bids are only up to $700. I've been wanting to upgrade my Mac, and I think this could be a perfect chance ... but should I be wary?

I was gonna say, I dunno, but he lives near me so I could pay him a visit and ask to see the machine or something. Maybe pee in his yard. You know, the usual.

I have never been scammed on E-bay, but you can't always get a great deal either. For some reason, people are willing to pay almost as much as or more for an item, even if it's used, than they can get one in the store for.
