I am getting bombarded with PMs (honeslty I have received 5 in the past 2 days) regarding eating before bed. Hey, it's all realitive. Ask yourself these questions, then you can answer for yourself.........what was my daily caloric intake? Output? When was my last meal? AND most imporatantly, when did I last train? Me? I have been training at night, so I have my pw shake than a minor meal 10-15 minutes prior to sacking out...........when I train in the am, I might have some cottage cheese and peanuts while I watch the game.....everything in moderation fellas.

Here's a tip....if you were going on a 8 hour car ride, what would you take to eat?

I always throw a shake down before bed. When you sleep you grow. Feed the moster. I throw in some aminos and beef/liver tabs too!

OK slat...good stuff.....doesnt hold me over as much as food, but it works.....here's the scenerio :

you train at 4:30pm
yor pw shake is at 6pm
you go to bed around 9pm...........what do you do between 6 and 9? just one meal? One meal and then a shake? 2 meals???

jkurz i agree with you. i eat before bed, the difference being that i dont have a lot of carbs in my last meal. even if i train early. i figure, your body is secreting all these growth hormones at night, what better time, then, to have an infusion of protein coming out of your gastrointestinal tract?

imo, if you want to diet, its all about TOTAL calories (of course, you have to space all of your calories evenly throughout the day) and not about doing something like not eating before bed, then going through 10 hours with zero food coming out of your gut. far better to cut cals from each and every meal, than to effectively cut your last meal completely.

just my opinion, of course

and a good opinion at that...I've eaten, brushed my teeth and crashed.....I have yet to fall asleep with food in my mouth though.....lol

what do YOU have bro?

I always eat a shit load of food before I go to bed, and since milk based protein shakes bloat the hell out of me, I drink 2 within several hours of going to sleep (because I don't care if I bloat while I sleep)... and I always wake up feeling great and looking good.

thats exactly what i brought up last time people were talking about this..

everyone should eat before bed
everyone should have protein before bed

i would say most should have some fat before bed

bulkers should definately have carbs before bed

thats just my take..

I Always Eat Before Bed..
Even When I Wake Up To Take A Piss In The Middle Of Night I Munch Some'n..

I like to eat a can of tuna or some turkey breast with about a cup of oatmeal before I go to bed. Sometimes I will wake up in the middle of the night and slam a shake down as well.

Satch what do you have and how close to bed?

Got 2 - how close to bed do you have a cup of oats? That is people's fear.......carbs........I've always done a huge casein shake, some fiberous veggies, and a boatload of peanuts, still stayed sub 7% with cardio in the morning.....do you guys do cardio first thing?
