Well after typing up a long well written first post the internet ate that puppy :chomp: so this time its short and sweet. :)

Starting stats:
5'10"
161 lbs
18%bf

Been working out for 2 years on and off, and solid for the last 6 months. :jump:

Goals:

170 lbs
12%bf
Cut down on the alcohol intake to once a week, currently its at 3 times week x 4 drinks a time. (tonight I went out with the buds and only had diet coke instead of beer, it was really not that bad at all. Its a start.
Diet plan will be posted in a the next week or so.

I will post up some starting pics in a little bit.

Oh, I am also using fitday now to track my diet. I know that this will really be what will help make a huge change. After loading my data from my last few days of eating and seeing my percentage's, I see that I'm not eating as healthy as thought.

with a good diet and routine this should be a snap....any specific time frame?
 
I will post up my diet plan later tonight after work.

JPT, I guess I do need a time frame. How about 3 months? Does that sound realistic?
 
To Be Honest I Don't Think You Need One...if Your Not Preparing For A Contest Or Have Anytime You Need To Achieve This Goal By Then Don't Stress About It....but Don't Cheat Either. Faster Is Not Better...

Here is my diet goals that I have been following as of 2 days ago.

It's by now means in stone so anything that looks out of whack tell me.

Protein 200 g

Carbohydrates 400 g

Fats 50-60 g

Total Calories 2850

I am currently 160lbs. (lost one pound errrr!!) and want start keeping measurements at least twice a week to track gains better.
 
fats and protein are too low! SO is overall cals...I am your weight and taking in almost doublt the calories....not fun, but you gotta do it to make gains!
 
Well I have picked next Wednesday as measurement and weigh day along current pic day. I have upped my calorie and protein plus I assume a little fat, via 2 more shakes a day.

My current numbers are these:

240 protein

95 fat

3220 calories.

I also am kinda pissed I had 7 drinks tonight,(over a 3 hours) 3 more drinks than I wanted to do but I am still cutting one day a week less with the guys on the drinking than I was doing. :coffee:

Should i do any cardio at all?

Also let me know on the diet, does that look better?

I am only taking creatine and protein shakes for now with of course a multi-vitamin.
 
Damn I am pumped, my program has been going great. I truly think if you set goals(ones that are written down) it makes it a whole lot easier to get the motivation to met them.

Will post current pictures and extra info tomorrow, I am only a little over two weeks into it but feeling great.

Progress report. Took some more pictures 15 days in. I used a different camera, its not my good one. Anyways I feel like I am making great progress for me, and can really see the need to follow the diet CLOSELY, that will be my hardest area to control/combat. I decide to take some measurements using my MYOTAPE

Weight is up by 1.5lbs(162), maybe two lbs it has been fluctuating.


Arms left- 14 1/4" right-14 5/16"
Neck-15 3/4"
Chest- 40 1/2"
Waist 33"
Hip- 34 3/8"
Legs

Ham- 20 7/8"
Calf- 13 3/4"

That myotape looks cool. I gotta get one. My wife takes my measurements, & she's not consistent with pressure, etc.
Lookin pretty good. Diets are tough to stick to, but I'm goin the other way.

The tape is kickin, only think I have to to is put it away cause if its out I grab it and measure. Sometimes 2-3 times a day cause you never know when and extra 1/2" is gonna pop out LOL. :)

Sure, you can do some incline walking... LOW intensity cardio if you want (30 minutes 2-3 times a week)

Your body will let you know how it likes the diet :)
IMO That is ALOT of calories for someone that looks to be semi mesomorph.. If you start storing fat, you'll notice it and cut back... otherwise, enjoy the eating and roll with it.

Keep tracking, keep lifting :garza:
