Okay, some recent post reminded me that I had once seen some disturbing/funny album covers once and I would like to find them again. So, I googled them, and lo and behold some rabid fan of Man O War is going to be angry, because I will be damned if they are not on this list. Before you get mad at me Mr. S, I didn't compile this list. :verygood: Geez, don't be sensitive because the album art is a little funny. For all I know, they could be great. I never listened to them.

lol. I actually have tons more. One has a guy with a hook for an arm. One is three guys riding the same bike and hugging. Then, there is the grandma's knees up party. Talk about disturbing!
 
Gee, now that really is disturbing. Mine were just sort of funny/disturbing, not murdering/disturbing. LOL. Good find.
 
theres a band in canada called dayglo abortions and the front cover is a nice little hamster and on the back hes got a gun point blank range and blasts the hamsters head off.

Music about glory, courage and honor, free from all false pride. A band with a 26 year history has... well, quite a long history. They're proud of their past, and I support the band and their ideals fully.

Lemme guess, you listen to rap or some other form of positive, reinforcing music.

Black metal has it's roots in Norway. It didn't hit U.S. soil until little less than a decade ago, and by then, it had become the joke that it is today.

Oh, I had seen that second set of black metal album covers. That was big back in the 80's but now you see them and just think "Wha?"

Damn, relax S. We are not saying they are a sucky band. I personally don't think I've heard their music. Can't you just admit the cover is a little funny? I mean, I'm sure they may even have a sense of humor about it now.

I think only Puddlemuckey here realizes that, as a Manowar fan, I must play into the schtick of the rabid-Manowar-fan that they have been come to be known as.

Thus, I will continue to play the "Heavy metal, or no metal at all, wimps and posers, leave the hall" role, and spite anyone who dare speak out against the Kings of Metal, Manowar.

Well, if your bands name is Cannibal Corpse (Death Metal) the options for album covers are limited. The name of that album is "Tomb of the Mutilated".

That manowar shit is hilarious, I like the one guy off to the right who obviously refused to look like a total fag by donning the fur speedo and metal boots.

And that Tino guy needs to be shot. ROFL at the ABBA jumpsuits, I think my parents had that album.

As long as we're making fun of rediculous album covers et al., someone's GOT to post Manowar's "Gloves of Metal" video. It's got to be one of the lowest-budget, intentionally-fake-but-tried-to-be-real music videos I've ever layed witness to.

Usually, any ripping on Manowar comes from that video, lol.

Between Powerslave, UA and I, we could find album covers that could get us banned from this (or almost any) site. Mayhem's Dawn of the Black Hearts, any one? Ever really see a post-suicide picture, brains and all?

I had a bootleg of that album, but sold it for over $50 on Ebay... hard to find in it's original (or LP) form, much like the original Burzum albums (non-digipack versions from DSP, I believe).

The wrong part about it is the story behind it. Those of us 'in the know' are aware of how far some of this stuff went. I won't even discuss it on here. It involved mostly Euronymus's intent on what to do with the body before the police came... I'll say that much. (And NO, I'm not talking anything sexual here.)
