Dumbell presses before Barbell or vice versa.

Chest Today.

Because of a rotator injury I have placed Incline first in my routine. Question is to do Barbell incline first or Dumbell incline.

Currently I do the following:

Incline Barbell:

2 warmups.

1st working set: 225 10 reps, 235 10 reps, 245 8-10 reps

Flat Dumbell:

1st set 80's 10 reps, 100's 10 reps, 100's 8-10

Incline Dumbell:

1st set 100's 8-10 reps, 100's same, 100's whatever I have left.

Flyes:

40's 8-10 reps, 60's 8-10 reps, 70's 8-10 reps

Thx

I really doens't matter to me, but if shoulder stability is an issue go with dumbell first and then barbell since db take more to balance them, just my 2 cents

no shoulder injury here except in one fight and that healed in about a week. I really think the hardest motion for your shoulders is putting the weight down when you are done, I try to get a spotter to at least take one du,bell

I agree 100%. In fact that is how I injured my shoulder. The problem is I am training by myself tonight. So wipping the 100's up by myself may be interesting.
