Double slit???? (wtf)

Didn't watch the video, but double-slit to me means the interference pattern generated by two diffraction gratings that are interfering.

You going all super-nerd on us? You're gonna be a doctor! Just focus on the outcomes! (j/k)

Then I watched it... holy shit that's a good video. My kids are watching that soon.

lol and ive always been a super nerd.......I getz no wimminz

Become a doctor and setup a successful practice and then say you get "no wimminz"...

At that point, the only way you could be more attractive is to push a stroller. To most unattached 27-35 year old chickas, you'll be crack cocaine.

Doode, search Dr. Quantum on youtube and have them watch all of the videos... They make it super easy for anyone to understand! The one about a flat world is especially intriguing.

Will do!

Going to be for now tho :)

Not really, but i see nothing in it for me, except maybe down the road talk, or some scientific stuff that will never be used.

no video......but here we go

Two twin brothers........ one stays on earth, one gets on a space ship and travels at near the speed of light.......

The twin on the spaceship travels for 8 years before returning to earth

When he get's back, he finds his twin is an old gray haired man, while he (the twin on the spaceship) is has aged only 8 yrs........

So it appears that as you travel near the speed of light, time slows down. It dilates if you will.

Time dilation is cool

Cool stuff Chris. Ever mess with cross-polar light interference?

I loved doing stuff on the optical bench. It's amazing when you are so sure you are going to have one result, and it turns out, it's competely different!

Someone once said something similar to this: the greatest achievements in physics did not herald the word "Eureka!" but most likely the words, "Gee, that's funny........." (I think it was Feynman, but I can't remember, Samoth, help me out!)

Great page about interference

We use refractory intereference colors to identify minerals in thin section through cross polar light. Nothing better than having a couple of coctails and checking out rocks in thin section.

Wait a tick geologists really are fucking strange.:worried:
