I was reading that back in his prime he was doing extensinve research to how much protein was the EXACT right amount. He found that it was 1.5 grams/bodyweight. so if you weighed 200lbs it would be 300grams to get good gains. I also heard that he researched that too much protein was just a waste and was sort of like sugar in water. once you reach a point where there isn't enough water to dissolve the sugar you are wasting the sugar. is this true??
I consume 300grams a day on shakes and I feel a lot better than 100 or 200 grams a day. (gainwise)
just seeing what you guys thought.

Depends on alot how many carbs your taking in and fats. You can consume alot more than 300 grams a day just take in less carbs and fats and your body will use up the protein.

There is no EXACT right amount of protein

it depends on so many factors that you can't have one rule

I'd say the 1.5/bw is a good guiding line, as a 200 lbs guy more then 300 gr protein will not have extra muscle building benefits, if that we're the case we'd al be eating 2 pounds of protein per day and we'd all be big. Eating too much protein is using expensive fuel imo
