I have a problem with biting the inside of my cheek or tongue. Not sure why it happens, but even get to the point of bleeding. When I quit smoking I had to use tootsie Pops as I can't chew gum without biting myself. And yes, it hurts real bad, and yes,once you bit a spot, you WILL bite it again.

Chew slower and pay attention. Or, just lick and suck.
