Donating PLASMA on Cycle???

has anybody donated plasma here before, on or off cycle? im assuming this is relatively safe to do but probably not so good if your "on". dont know if you even could if your on bacause i beleive they test your blood for drugs and shit. but first time 40 bucks second time 60 bucks, thinkin about doing this here this next week for some extra cash. any thoughts?

They don't test where I live and They only pay half of what you're getting. You just answer a questionnaire. I've never donated while on.

I have actually heard that donating blood can be a good way to lower your RBC count if your anabolic steroid cycle brought it too high.

Yes and no George. That is how they treat people with elevated RBC (red blood cell) counts, but from what I understand they somehow treat the blood to reduce RBC's then transfuse back into the person. Roids will elevate RBC count and thicken blood. If you remove it, the body will reproduce the same way while on. I would suggest not going in now though as the blood bank will test to see if you have healthy blood. If you go in and your INR (blood thickness) and RBC are off they could deny you, and you won't be able to go back because these aren't conditions that come and go (other than if you admit you were on roids the first time you came in).

Just read what Rick said, and actually he may be right (universally speaking of plasma donation centers). If it is plasma and not blood donation, they might not test for blood conditions.

The first Time you go in they'll ask you a bunch of questions like: Have you had a new tattoo within the last 12 months? Have you shared needles with someone...blah blah blah and then they'll test your blood. But They test it for protein level and hematocrit levels. They do that everytime you come in too. They'll also get your weight and your blood pressure as well.

hey rick, after they take the blood out, do they just take out the plasma then put the blood back in your body? what are your guys thoughts on training while doing this? would it be ok to train the day after donating? sounds like i wont be able to do it while cycling but thats fine, jsut hoping i dont have to wait a few days after donations to train while off.

No they do not reinject blood. The plasma gets seperated from the blood thru centrifuge I believe, but you can't replace what's left after being broken down into body. After reading more about this (as I was curious) it actually is standard practice in some cases with men on testosterone replacement therapy where their blood gets too dense from elevated RBC count. That is, donating blood to lower overall blood density in body. I believe it would take less than a couple days for your body to replace the amount of blood drawn. So do this if you can right before 1-2 day break if you can.

While on TRT I had to donate blood around every 3-4 months because of this very reason. Hemoglobin would get too high (thickening blood).

Some doctors will even prescribe you this treatment for these types of blood problems, it's called therapeutic phlebotomy.

Yes the plasma is separated from the blood while its being drawn via centrifuge. It's then recirculated, the blood that is, back into your body. Painless process and the plasma regenerates usually within twentyfour hours.

What type of steroids have A greater likelyhood of causing the blood to become too thick?
