Boards like these attract (not an inclusive list):

1) Lonely people -- either in transition or permanently lonely (I am the former)

2) People who want "safe" distance between them and their friends -- keeping a keyboard and a wire between two people helps with that.

3) People with a lot of time to kill. Boring job? Surf these boards.

For the posters that actually lift and eat clean & bulk, YES, there is something wrong with us. I count out 20 almonds every afternoon at 3 pm, that's not normal. You have to have something not right to live this lifestyle. Now, I will admit that I am more healthy (mentally, physically & emotionally), than I have ever been. However, I'm also willing to admit that enjoying the pain I get from pushing my body like its never been pushed before is, um, a little weird.

As far as the personality issues that I have witnessed since I've been here, that's in real life as well.

I agree with Mr. Plunky, that boards like this attract people that are lonely. I was in transition when I started posting in C&C in March (I joined to learn about lifting and dieting). I have stated before, that the ATL meet-up was the first step in getting my old life back (travelling, meeting new people, etc.) and taking chances again. I've been a member for 14 months. During that time, I've conquered my fear of flying, purchased my first home, met some awesome peeps (15, so far), started a home business, changed my career path, dumped one bf & established a wonderful relationship with a new one. My time on EF, so far, has been one helluva ride, and I don't regret a thing.

Boards like this also introduces others to different views & lifestyles.

The really crazy ones are those that have invested alot of time into other's lives, yet they have never attended a meet-up, never said "hey ______" I live in your area, lets meet for lunch." To me, that doesn't make any sense. But, I guess that's #2 in the previous post.
