Does Marijuana ruin lives and entire societies?

yeah, because I'm not a delusional pot head. Why don't you wave a magic wand and sprinkle some fairy dust, too.

so in other words you have no clue what im talking about. weed is weed to you. maybe if my moms reefer habit got in the way of loving me id be as close minded as you. fortunately thats not the case. ive been an activist/volunteer for mmj in nothern california for the past nine years. ive worked for published doctors and i am called upon to testify in court as an expert on whats medical vs. whats not... so yeah i guess im a delusional pot head.

maybe its because after dedicating his life to studying it, he sees it is not the terrible thing he helped make it into with his earlier studies.

as for the lawyer quote, your reply to the study i posted by "the weed doctor" in america was, hes biased. without any prior knowledge about him. thats weak. your info on the 1 joint = a pack a day, he helped push that belief.
and he, himself, has not been able to refuted that smoking a joint doesn't make you inhale as many corcinogens as up to a pack of cigs a day. He is saying that he hasn't found the correlation as high as it should be according to those statistics, which fact can be explained by hundreds of other factors. Really, you need to read the studies if you think that he's saying that the previous study was wrong. Furthermore, other recent studies in which he was not involved further support that a joint contains carcinogens equal to up to a pack per day. So, he's irrelevant, and not only biased.

The cancer thing should be easy to study. Find people who DO NOT smoke ciggs, but do smoke marijuana regularly and track the incidence in of lung cancer in that group as compared to a) non smokers b) cigg smokers only c) cigg and MJ smokers.

That, too, was addressed. Most people who smoke pot occassionally smoke tobacco too.

u.s. government doesnt think hes irrelevant.

I'm not opposed to medicinal use of marijuana and actually gave my mom marijuana when she had cancer so that she would have an appetite to eat. Hey, she was already terminally ill and dying because of pot, so it was too late for abstinence at that point, now wasn't it.

We are talking about casual pot smokers here not about doctor supervised cancer patients and the like.

I'm all for medicinal use of marijuana, but you are doing people a diservice if you are saying that smoking marijuana is harmless. When they are screaming in pain with lung cancer that spreads to their bones and brain you can pat yourself on the back for your great advice.

news flash. you are not the only one whos family has been touched by cancer. your study doesnt even account for non-cig head pot smokers. get an education comparable to mine in this field and come back when you have something relevant to say.

go ahead and continue to ignore the previous examples already given to you on healthy pot use. and i dont write the scripts, thats what docs are for. but i will pass along to the doctors i work for that some lawyer on a chat board says its bad.

i testify for the cultivators who get caught. i review what has been seized from the house, and determine whether its legit medical or not.

stick to the law. this is a bit out of your field of expertise.

(btw) im legit medical and i dont have any terminal condition. there are several uses for mmj that dont include cancer/aids or anything terminal.

and i referenced my work experience in this field to show my expertise. just as you would with the law. so if i know whats safe for medical use, then i know whats safe for recreational use.

OK, so we have gone from =10, =14= =pack a joint right? Which is it..... because I am still kinda lost. Every post the number has changed. I do not trust any medical evaluation without a organization not involved directly with the medical field judging if marijuana should be legal and if it has any medical backing. Remember, doctors, pill makers, and insurance companies are in the pockets of those who make the law. So the reports you gave out were biased. Tell me the Pharmacutical (sp again, damn) companies aren't making money keeping false reports flowing. I'll tell ya this, they wouldn't make money off it, because there are so many seed producing manufacturers of Marijuana alone that it just couldn't be regulated. I know that for a fact. So how could they make it legal, and profit. Face it HR, its a money game and you know it. Alcohol kills, why is it legal? Hell, the food we eat is bad for us, well some of us, why is it legal to use pesticides? Tell me, how many carcinogenics are in Cigarrettes? Then tell me in MJ, but use up to date info, not some 70's sheot.

I'll chime in when you get interesting on this.... but for now, your just full of rage on an empty tank. BTW when you vaporize MJ all the nasty stuff is left behind.... same with the bubble bags... which are just silk screens sewn to I think nylon or some material that water cannot go through.

How often do you hear of a stoned driver killing someone?
How violent is a person on MJ?
Does MJ make a person violent?
Why do some doctors come out and say med MJ is good, but to be shut down by Washington?
What else could MJ be used for..... clothes, rope, and fuel.
Ah I brought up a point, FUEL! It's called Hemp....... and our Government raided an Indian Reservation in south dakota I believe and killed all their hemp plants. Not cool, since you don't smoke hemp! Whats wrong with making a shirt. Thats what your Government and medical establishment knows.

You are a foreclosure person, I would stick with it. But HR, I am saddened when I hear of a childhood like that. And your opinion is yours, I respect that. But respect others that don't have the same opinion.

Peace
walli

This is how we can get wildly liberal people to go for nuclear power. Tell them we're splitting the hemp atom and no longer using enriched uranium or plutonium. They'll climb up the cooling towers hoping to get a contact high.
