Does Marijuana ruin lives and entire societies?

Really? don't i? I grew up around it every single day of my life. LOL. Just because you want to delude yourself so you can continue your behavior doesn't invalidate the truth.

i'm as clean as a whistle
one instance does not proof make...lol at how you reach your conclusions

I think I just got lucky and fell into the smart crowd at school and had other people's mothers take interest in me and encourage me. It was about 85% luck. Seriously.

Glad you were lucky. Its a little scary to think about how much our lives are affected by the friends we end up with.

I smoke a lot and have since high school. I've had a succesful career thus far in academics and athletics. Instead of drinking I smoke. Hangovers aren't hot in the streets let alone it destroys your body and there are few positives with it like liquid confidence and getting women to do dirty deeds with you.

I think that the people of whom you speak and you succeeded in spite of your drug use, not as a result of it.

For every one person you know that is a success despite their drug use, I bet I could show you one hundred who are useless potheads because of their use.

No offense, but the first step to recovery from an addiction is admitting you have a problem. You sound like you are psychologically addicted to pot. I hope it is just a phase for you.
I've gone through my phases with it. I, like many people, thought it "made me stupid" and a whole host of other negative things. There were a few pivitol things that helped "undo" that mentality. Talking to a professor at college was one of them, reading one book in particular was another, but the biggest one is this.

I am most productive, in and outside of work, when I am happy and stress free. Because of this, I go out of my way to ensure that the majority of my life is spent happy and stress free. Many things contribute to this. Exercise. Living at the beach. Keeping my finances in order. Listening to Music. Marijuana use.

I've had similar experience. When i started college I was drinking all the time. My roommates smoked regularly, even on week nights after classes.

Then when grades came out and they got straight A's and I had to drop a class and had an F I realized something was fucked up.

i love this arugment on one of the most druggie sites on the net
hahahaha that is laughable, but you'll notice I never even bring the 'roids bit into the equation. YES, steroids can really fuck kids up for life. YES, they can be very detrimental to adults who abuse them. yes, they can be psychologically addicting.

BUT the fact of the matter is, steroids can be used responsibly (not without ANY risk, but with minimal or low risks). I hate having to ban things just to protect the lowest common denominator. If someone wants to use steroids, who am I to judge them? If someone wants to sell them at a school, then yes, I'll take issue with that, but to me using steroids is a purely personal choice that any adult should be able to make.

Well, rock on, I guess...lol. If you were my son, I would try to help you find something more meaningful than pot to give you true inner peace and happiness. I think marijuana is a crutch. I hope nothing bad comes to you from it, like cancer or getting arrested. I hope you never do it after you have kids. No kid wants their parents getting high, you know.
